Can u smell what the feds are. Cooking. Getting a first in order before the big day. Mike. I’m sure Frankie is next. I can’t wait till the deals come from the feds. Sprolles is on the hook. For at least impersonating a labor leader in Philadelphia pa.
ReplyDeleteIt’s only time until they are all out and in jail! Time is on our side fellas. Spencer will be next. Hopefully these crooks that are let go will sing like a canary. Same as the Philadelphia reps are doing. Can’t wait to see step and fetch Hand and Hacker to be fired. Plus dough boy Sproule.
ReplyDeleteLook for spencer to be gone by friday or monday.
ReplyDeleteIf thats the case which it is being reported.... The shyte is about to hit the fan.
Wheres the money?
SPROULES. DID DOUG READ THE BLOG AND CHECK FINACALS. IT WONT BE LONG NOW. WHEN YOU IMPERSONATE A LABOR LEADER AND LET CROOKS TAKE OUR MONEY THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS
ReplyDeleteYou allowed the mafia boss spencer to live the good life like a mafia boss....on our dime or .... Our 108 million that you pissed away on your own extravagance.
DeleteSproules. You stupid shytebag.
Bottom line.
Doug Mccarron is responsible for this. He appointed every one who appointed every one.
Now. Let me put this here.
There is no way doug can say he didnt know.
11 members from phila signed and sent a letter requesting all documents and internal investigations of cappeli and spencer before they were promoted.
We asked to see the internal investigation that should have been done because of the charges levied in new jersey superior court by john ballantyne.
Its on record. It was legit.
There was never a response.
We sent a 2nd letter.
All letters were ccd to the appropriate agencies.
Its allll documented.
This is squarely on Doug.
Now. Is it possible... That spencer was attempting a coup at the gc coming up?
Maybe.
I would expect to see indictments on the horizon.
Alllll lead back to mccarron. All of it.
Billy Sproules
Mike Hand.
JR Hocker.
We warned you.... We warned you on here.
You didnt listen.
Its personal.
We will not stop until you are fired.
We are everywhere.
We have everything.
We will not stop.
Don't tell me Mike Capelli wanted to spend some time with his family, that's what they all say ,maybe Michael Capelli wants to spend some time with his family before he goes to prison! It's all coming down like the house of cards it is,you talk about an imposter the imposter is Doug Mccarron!
ReplyDeleteMy guess is Tommy got in Doug’s ear and told him to bag Cappelli for all his misdeeds and to appoint himself in his place. Tommy will straighten all of Cappelli’s mess out. But where would that leave Frankie??? Ohh Frankie where would that leave you?? I mean you got to figure ever since Doug started listening to you it’s all gone to complete shit!!! First you said bag Coryell Sr, easy peasy......Wrong you’ve been getting your ass kicked ever since!! Then you told Doug to bag Ballantyne because he’s a liability and lose cannon.....That lead to the whistle blower lawsuit..... Then you told Sproule’s too seize the day and unload the dead wood Council Reps in Philly, which was more of a personal vendetta thing than a CoVid related lay-off...... Hows that going??? I hear some of these laid off Reps have recordings of your boy Sproule shaking them down for contributions to McCarrons re-election campaign.....Oh boy. See Doug when you lie with the beast you get the horns......
ReplyDeleteIts about time.
ReplyDeleteThe United Brotherhood of Carpenters that i co founded in aug of 1881 has finally begun to implode by the appointment of men with no integrity.
There was a reason we voted for our representation.
There was a reason we voted to allocate funding and activities.
There was a reason that prudence sobriety and care were exercised when handling monies.
Doug McCarron you are responsible in the end.
Step down.
Billy (billy goat). Sprolles. Dougy knows you bankrupted the council. What to do. What to do what to do. You wasted all the money. Before Doug could steal it. It s. Not looking good fatty. Quick. Call Spence and ask if he can cover up your piss poor leadership ability. Oh wait. He’s probably submitting his papers now. Oh god what to do. What to do. You might have to make a decision on your own. Bye. Bye. Billy goat. It won’t be long now you loser. !!!!!!
ReplyDeletehey mike hand. Please stop by the office to drop off new underwear. Mike I just shit my pants. What are we going to do. Mike days we’re screwed billy.
ReplyDeleteMike hand is just as complicit for " watching" his buddies commit the crimes.
DeleteJR Hocker. Same.
Rmbr the ghosts cappeli told you to sign off for at broad street.
Ask mcginley he , im sure has that document still.
Your list of names is really short. When they came to Philly and removed the MRC you would think at least one representative would have stood up for themselves. How can you stand up for members when you can’t stand up for yourself? If you truly believe in something then it’s more than money. They sure are greedy. Alllll of them must go
Deletefeds flipped capelli- he knew spencer would offer him up - so he sang first
ReplyDeletecapelli is very limited- but has a good criminal lawyer - who surely told him he had to cooperate.
And lock that Pension up pre-arrest!! Mike how does this commentary by the members make you feel?? This is your legacy, a debate about why you resigned under a cloud and for being the subject of a grand jury investigation. Mike, your a scumbag who became corrupted in order to enrich your self at the expense of the member!!! None of you Executive Officers or Council Reps deserve what you get paid!!!! Mike, your trash, that’s your legacy, we’ll done.
DeleteCappeli is a pos. Thats not even a question.
DeleteBut what are you when you knowingly take orders from a known pos... Take orders solely to protect your salary because you cant be competent in any other task?
You are:
Mike Hand
JR Hocker
Mike Campbell
Layla
Joe
Ron pappa
Billy Sproules
Think about just how bereft of any integrity you are to be these people.
Nepotism, political correctness, and tokenism ....
There are soooo many members that were more qualified... That can write and speak an entire cogent sentence... Speak fluidly to a crowd... Yet we have this?
Sooo many members with far superior skills.
The only problem is ... Those members are UNION.
Those members were skipped over because this new regime needs zombie puppets.
Good for you. You got what you wanted, appointed the trash we have now... Its time to stop check off dues.
We have no representation.
does anyone know why they chose Flynn over sproules especsally after sproules response to the members on the corona virus
ReplyDeleteIm pretty sure it was because flynn has a special technique.
DeleteSproules knows how to relax his throat... But flynn. Flynn does the slap , tickle , and he makes noise when he knob gobbles.
Or perhaps its because sproules is done.
The ' splainin" is wayyy to much.
I mean they obviously do not care about what we think... There is no way sproules survives this.
Plus we are about to go scorched earth on billy.
Flynn has a lot of political contacts that he’s trying to get help from on behalf of Doug. Sproule’s can’t even get help from the dog catcher in Galloway Twp. Flynn has also been servicing Doug’s needs for many more years than Sproule’s has and that is one of the few things that Doug still appreciates. Last but not least Sproule’s is a Spencer boy toy and I don’t think Frank is too high on Doug’s list at the moment.......
DeleteI am trying to make sense of what has happened this week. Dr. Anthony Fauci ,the lead member of the White House Corona Task Force, has been telling us how to protect our communities, save lives, and fletten the curve of the the virus which will then get us back to our careers. At the same time, Union Reps have been doing everything possible to ignore him regarding social distancing and keep non- essential jobs running to feed their pockets. Yesterday Tom Flynn the NEW General Secretary Treasurer directed his members to cease work unless it is a health facility being built to address the covid 19 crisis.
DeleteMeanwhile in Philadelphia reps are allowing non-essential jobs to continue, even in environments where the virus is spreading (Philly live casino, Art Museum, old Inquire Building, to name a few). Really Mike Hand, James Hocker, Mike Campbell a casino , a museum are essential? You guys are clueless and if you want to move forward your names will be on the lawsuits when members die or kill someone in their community.since you have no ability to lead whatsoever and you have ignored Dr.Fauci please at least follow the NEW General Secretary and shut down all jobs that are not Covid 19 related. You guys are all F in A holes. We’re newcomers getting started, what a great blog you have here for real information.
You are correct.
DeleteFlynn was a UBC lobbyist for 5 years. McCarron is going to be indicted. He is circling the wagons with EVERY political ally he has left.
Its kind of fun to watch.
Spencer hooked our wagon to norcross.
Thats wagon has a broken wheel.
Mccarron was ok with it until the extent of it is being exposed.
Keep in mind. Placid investors.
Doug has his own shit to deal with. Spencer is like adding raw gas to a birthday candle.
Justice is on its way brothers and sisters stay tuned
ReplyDeleteIve been hammering this for over 5 years. Justice may be coming.
DeleteI will not stop until hocker and hand are fired.
Yes. Yes it is personal... As it should be for every rank and file carpenter with more than 6 years in.
Hand, Hocker, Twiford, Campbell. They are a joke. The whole time ever since they were APPOINTED
DeleteDoug, look your in deep here, and there is only one guy who can turn this around for you and maybe in turn save you as well, and his name is Ed Coryell Sr. He’s your only hope Doug!!!! Think fast before all hope is completely lost.
ReplyDeleteWe have thieves that are running our union
ReplyDeleteMcCarron has destroyed the carpenters union. Without democracy there is NO UNION. Get rid of McCarron you will get rid of the problem. For 25 years, McCarron has mis-managed the UBC, risking the membership's future. MCCARRON BELONGS IN PRISON!
ReplyDeletethis blog has some info on it........
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Great information. We just started. Thanks for this blog. Seems the only place truthful information
DeleteTo the newcomers. I guess welcome.
ReplyDeleteI hope you open your eyes and put the ubc kool aide down.
Heres a tidbit.
Our council is broke.
( not the pensions)
Our council. The 108 milion they stole from our mrc council funds.
They spread it out to jersey and pittsburgh.
Its gone.
200k christmas parties.
100 to 200 k golf outings for reps and delegates. I pads. Credit cards. Clothing. Pr campaigns.
Its gone.
Ask the morrows where their new assignment is.
Ask the deleware office... Or lehigh, or north jersey .. Ohhh wait... You cant. They are closed.
We under spenncer/ cappeli/ sproules have been bankrupted.
Not justtt them... But spencer and cappeli for sure.
Many of us have tried to warn members. All we got was " ohhh im not into politics" " or welll thats just the way it is"
So heres the deal.
We have zero representation.
You know it. Now you are seeing it.
I suggest you read this blog carefully. There is a ton of info on here. True and accurate.
Start telling the members.
How old is Michael Capelli? Anybody know? this guy started his Carpenter career in 1986
ReplyDeleteOld enough to retire but too young to spend his retirement behind bars.
Deleteif I was ed Coryell sr I would tell doug to get lost when he came calling live and die by the choices he makes
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the head of this snake to get chopped off so we can get our union back to normal.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: Who did the Eastern District pay rent to for Capelli’s office? Did Capelli’s wife rent her office space from her husband or did the Eastern District rent office space from his wife.
DeleteYou need more then the head my freind. If the whole leadership don’t go we’re in serious trouble
ReplyDeletePensions..... let’s look at the annuity payments made to members of the old MRC. (Pension AND Annuity Fund) I heard people call them bonuses and rave about receiving them. The old regime stole our money even though it didn’t leave the building and the feds made them pay up. The new regime, which consists of many leaders of the old regime, made a deal with the feds to pay members 1/4 of what you should have been paid. Imagine if they paid out the full amount. How much would that have defunded the fund? The pension would have been in the red. That’s why the feds let them get away with giving you 1/4 of your money. Do the math. They had to do the math. Why didn’t they give the figures with the amount they came up with? If they were transparent as they claim they are why not send the figures to the members with an explanation of how they got the amount. Because they are not. Really bonuses? Thanks leaders
ReplyDeleteAnd soooo the old " double bubble" myth is finally revealed.
DeleteIt was always a gimmick.
Soley designed to keep pension liability low but fund high.
Congrats. You cracked the code.
It Was ALWAYS A GIMMICK.
The actuaries had alllll the stats.
How many would pay in.
How many would actually draw from it.
How long theyd live.
Rigging the payout to the house instead of taking care of widows and children as one of our founding premise.
Think about this.
In the 1930s. The life expectency of a tradesman was about 52.
That was good.
Fast forward to 2020. The carpenter ( actuary) life expectancy is only 63.
We gained 10 years in over 80.
Allll that " safety and concern"
Bullshit. Just as the double was.
Allllll a lie. Alll a gimmick.
I was also promised healthcare for life ... As i write a check for my spouse and i each month.
Alll lies.
Tell us your take Coryell’s. We know your reading
ReplyDeletesproules is boys with cappeli do the honorable thing and follow your buddy before you get canned next
ReplyDeleteTake notice.
ReplyDeleteCappeli's picture was off the international website faster than he resigned.
So you know.
People who are leaving on good terms are usually exalted and farewell letters are written and huge retirement parties are held like Silas and Banes.
( you know those parties right James Hocker?? The expensive gala events that you attended but didnt want anyone to know ... Allll on the backs of members money...
Anyway.
The way he left was under a cloud and was basically kicked out.
I dont like mike cappeli. Let me state that up front.
I hope he dies broke and his vineyards all dry up.
Ohhh you didnt know that?
Mikes other business venture.
His wife was paid rent in glassboro from the ubc. It was her real estate agency that " rented" space to the ubc for headquarters.
All the numbers are available.
She was also an executive on the ubc payroll to " run" that office.
All a scam.
They basically committed fraud to enhance their income.
All easily audited.
It may be legal... But certainly unethical.... Which is the " company " culture " with all these men.
Why are we broke?
Right out of the gate mccarron directed 6 million to cappelis eastern district op budget.
He and his wife.
Why are we broke?
Upward of 6 million was given to ballantyne and crew to " go away"
Why are we broke?
Legal fee after legal fee to defend themselves from their activity.
Why are we broke?
28k to the 158 softball team.
Why are we broke?
Council Reps using credit cards for food, clothes, family, gas for wifes car , bar tabs...
Why are we broke?
Because member oversight , voting, discussion, was TAKEN AWAY by design.
You should be pissed off.
All of you.
Mike Hand , Jr Hocker.
How many times did they knowingly boldly lie to our faces.
1000. 10000.
We warned them. We told them these guys were no good.
We were the " crazies" the " scumbags" for pointing out the lawlessness and theft.
Allll the while hand and hocker went along and smiled.
Time to wipe that smile off their faces.
Any member that talks to mike hand is a scumbag.
You can be polite. Hello. Yes. Sorry i gotta run... This company has a quota... Id talk to you at break, but we skip that now...
Soo have a good day mike... I gotta run... No one is here to protect me and the companies dont give a crap about union issues. So. See ya. Thanks by the way. Nahhh. No i dont want any EAS shirts or stickers.... Why would i wear them... Im Union.
THE GENERAL CONVENTION IN AUGUST IS THE LEAST OF MCCARRON'S PROBLEMS
ReplyDeleteQuestion: Is a portion of EAS LU assessment that we as working members pay, diverted to a PAC fund?? If this is the case it is completely illegal as I never signed a card to authorised this diversion. I also never authorised the payment of any dues from my check to this Council.
ReplyDeleteYes. And you are correct.
DeleteAs to the " dues" card.
Thats being addressed as we speak.
As i stated before. The nrlb and the lmdra are in the tank to help the union. ( i get into that later)
So the 1st hurdle once again has been breached.
( members do not realize how much of a pain in the ass it is to do this alone or with a few guys. We could really use some help)
Anyway.
We are pushing the issue to a federal court and common court under contract law.
See. The union says any sigs " rollover"
Thats horseshit. Any 1st year law student could beat that. Its contrat law 101.
4 years ago. I warned alll of you here in philly to NOT sign the last part of the MIX 20 20 form.
It was a decietful way to steal your signature for quorum and cba rights.
That was 2 councils ago.
Even that " contract " is null and void. ( thus the complaint and the case)
Ill warn you again.
Do not sign ANYTHING unless you read it. Especially pertaining to cba.
If pa DOES go right to work... Or any state... They can still take dues no matter where you work.
They ( ubc) and more specifically mike hand and jr hocker lied to you by omission.
From day 1 of the 1st merger they lied to you. All of them.
They do not deserve your piss if they were thirsty.
Too many members are complacent or " afraid"
I ask you? Afraid of what?
They dont get you jobs.
They dont represent you.
There are no rules.
Stand the hell up.
We are getting to the point where you have nothing left to lose ... We are imploding. Either way you may need to be looking for work.
Stand and fight, or lay down and accept.
Your choices.
who will give sproules the update now that cappeli is gone wanted anyone smarter then me please apply to my resendence for writer position asap and for gods sake get nervous nelly a chair that does not spin he looks like a 5 year old
ReplyDeleteThe only update Sproules will be getting:
Delete" you have the right to remain silent, anything you say and do can be used in a court of law against you....
YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO A UNION PAID ATTORNEY.
I got my tin foil hat on
ReplyDeleteSPROULES/cappeli//SPENCER. BANKRUPTED THE COUNCIL. CHECK THE FINACALS DOUG. WHEN THE RATTING START. DO YOU THINK. JON YOUNG. DAN CHRISTY. TRIY SINGLETON. ARE NOT GOING TO SAVE THEN SELVES. MAN BIRDS IF A FEATHER REALLY DO FLOCK TOGETHER. THIS IS ON YOUR SHOULDERS SPROLLES YOU CANT CLAIM YOU WERE TOLD TO DO NOTHING YOU COULD OF PUT YOUR JOB ON THR LINE AND GRABET YOUR SER. BUT UNFORTONTLEY FIR THE MEMBERS YOU HAVE A CREDIT CARD SLOT. SO WE ARE LEFT WE A BROKE COUNCIL. BUT AT LEAST WE CAN WATCH YOU ALL GO DOWN. GRAB THE POPCORN BOYS AND GIRLS THE MOVIES GONNA START.

ReplyDeleteTop official for Carpenters union retires amid federal investigation
By Matt Friedman
04/06/2020 10:40 AM EDT
A top official of the powerful Carpenters union is no longer with the organization as it struggles with the coronavirus and a federal investigation.
The online bio of Michael Capelli, the general secretary-treasurer of the the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, was removed from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters’ website late last week.
Reached by phone, Capelli said he retired, but declined to elaborate.
“It’s long-planned,” he said. “I’m going to go. I’m not going to talk about it. It’s nobody’s business but mine.”
There was no announcement on the Carpenters website about Capelli’s retirement.
The union recently laid off about 50 officials across seven states, spokesperson Frank Mahoney said.
“We’ve lost a lot of work hours for our members recently, and because of that and this unprecedented time, we’ve had to council-wide,” he said.
The union, whose political fund has put millions of dollars into New Jersey elections, has been buffeted by scandal over the last several years. In 2016, George R. Laufenberg was fired as administrator of the Northeast Carpenters Funds for “potential violations.” In September 2019, Laufenberg was indicted for allegedly embezzling $1.5 million from the union.
In 2018, the union dissolved the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters, terminating John Ballantyne, an ally of New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, as its leader. At the time, the firing was seen as a proxy war between allies of Murphy and South Jersey Democratic power broker George Norcross. The Carpenters have been one of the biggest backers of General Majority, a super PAC that has been funded through loans and donations of Norcross and his allies.
In a 2018 lawsuit, Ballantyne and two subordinates alleged they were fired for uncovering malfeasance that had the blessing of the union’s top leaders. The lawsuit alleged wrongdoing by Capelli, then the Eastern District vice president, and Frank Spencer, then the second general vice president of the union and now its general vice president.
Ballantyne and the union quietly settled the lawsuit a month after he filed it. But by 2019, a federal grand jury was empaneled in Newark to investigate the union. Last November, Douglas McCarron, the Carpenters general president, acknowledged in a memo to union leadership that the union and several groups tied to it had received a series of subpoenas.
Mahoney, the union spokesperson, said Capelli’s retirement has nothing to do with investigation. Rather, he said, it was so Capelli could “spend more time for family.”
You know it’s never a good sign when someone from politico contacts you about your sudden retirement Mike.
ReplyDeleteworking with the feds mikey
ReplyDeleteDid Mikey become a witness for the Feds after they targeted his wife for being an accessory to Mikes crimes??? She was renting his office space to the Eastern District, the same office that she also used for her real estate business. She also was his executive assistant and many of Capelli’s relatives were also brought onto the UBC payroll. The Feds may have discussed the following with Mikey: “Mike, look, you either play ball or we add your wife to the growing list of defendants. What’s it gonna be?? You want to be a good citizen?? Or should we talk to Spencer’s attorney? Welcome aboard Mike, now tell us everything you know about Frank Spencer, Doug McCarron, George Norcross III, Trisha Mueller, Placid Holding Company, Job Site Steel, the Prescription Company, Johnny Doc, Mayor Kenny, John Ballantyne, etc., etc.,......”.
ReplyDeleteIve said this ad nausem.
DeleteTake mueller from her biz in handcuffs.
Start asking questions.
Trish will not go to jail for these dirtbags.
Hopefully people are getting a clearer picture.
Patricia Mueller is the gate to open and let the flood begin.
I assure you.... Not only will ubc leaders shit their pants so will a whole host of politicians.
Riiight sweeney? Donald? Troy?
Kenney?
" spend more time with the family"?
ReplyDeleteThats funny.
Also bullcrap.
How do you spend more time than you did ... When your whole family " works " with you and for the same outfit?
Nepotism 6 figure a year jobs?
Nice try mike.
Mike what happened you never wanted all this. !!!!!!! Bahahahahahaha. You got it now cheapsuits. Integrity goes a long way. And you and all of your leadership have none. C u latter you fool.
ReplyDeleteThis is GREAT NEWS Capelli is a P.O.S Going to get what's coming to him. Fat ass Billy boy sold his local out year's ago trying yo get everyone to drink the kool-aid threatened members with mup's naming them at meetings just being an all-around P.O.S, Glad to see these scumbag's go.
ReplyDeleteThose members that work as Council employees who carry out the will of the Council against the membership are devoid of any integrity, character, or self respect. You are staying on as Council Reps for the money not because you are looking out for us. The current status of the UBC and EAS will not be as it is today or as it has been for the last 25 years, change is coming!!!! You Council Reps should know that your role in the exploitation of the working member won’t be forgotten or forgiven.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct !!! It will not be forgotten.
DeleteThere will be no forgiveness.

AH, I SEE. SO YOU'RE A MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK? TELL ME MORE ABOUT HOW IT "SHOULD HAVE" BEEN HANDLED!
ReplyDeleteWhich post are you replying to?
DeleteI would have declined the job. Stepped down.
DeleteBut. I have the capacity to earn a living with my tools.
Do you?
This is a pretty interesting blog, I’ve been reading o lot of comments here, I didn’t know that we had that many comedians amongst ourselves. how come no one talks about the shenanigans that went on under local 8 regime, or no one ever says anything at the meeting?
ReplyDeleteFirst off, no one goes to the meetings! Why should we? It’s already written in stone before the meeting anyway. The members that do go are mostly just puppets and raise their hand to pay the bills regardless of what they are or for any reason!
DeleteSecond it has nothing to do with the old locals shenanigans. I think 99% of the members would love to have the old regime back. At least we had rules and regulations and people to represent the members. Plus there was hardly any nonunion work being done in the city back then. Now the members don’t even care and just walk by nonunion jobs as they build every day in our city.
I hope that answered your questions and we are not comedians, we are just a few members that care about this so-called union. Maybe you should get off the Kool-Aid and start helping out.
No one is concerned with the “shenanigans” that went on under the Local 8 regime because no one cares about shenanigans. The members here care about violations of the law, their rights as members, and the destruction of our industry as we knew it by non elected turds who couldn’t get, or keep a job at Home Depot. Why doesn’t one any say anything at meetings?? Because it doesn’t matter, the current corrupt administrators of our unions aren’t going change course because of what any member points out!! The only thing we as members can do is fight for the right to not pay dues unless our will is recognised by a secret ballot vote cast by each and every member in good standing regarding the selection of Representatives, approval of contracts, wage distributions, selection of EST’s, etc.
DeleteHi Romeo... Or is this Pete?
DeleteIf you truly read this blog.
DeleteYou would have seen that there certainly is criticism of former times.
Despite the shortcomings, it was stilll better than this crap youve sold as " union"
Keep telling yourself its good.
Theres plenty more mikey hand goo to swallow champ.
If you think its funny... Or we are comedians... For asking HOW and WHY our council is on the verge of bankruptcy... PRECOVID.. Then there is really no point in engaging with you.
DeleteWe knew Sproules was no good.
We all knew Frank Spencer was a piece of crap.
We all knew Mike Cappeli was a turd.
Anyone that ever worked near or with them knew that.
So. This is either by design or by deceit?
If the plan was to merge us all together , new england etcc. Then sell your plan. Be honest. Make your case.
Then let the ppl it affects vote.
See that is a democratic union principle.
We are far from that. We are under a tyrant who dictates whats going to happen without any input.
If it was by deceit greed and misapropriation... Then those leaders must be held accountable and prosecuted.
I tend to believe its a combination of both.
Now those being exposed have a ton to lose... So the lies and fingerpointing start.
All the while STILL disregarding the members who pay for all this crap.
Sorry. If thats comedic to you than you are part of the problem and your solutions are worthless unless its the total removal of all involved.
Pretty funny aint it?
" shenanigans" ???
DeleteYou mean like this new jersey led leadership that is and is being revealed as racketeering , irs fraud, thieving scumbags that have basically bankrupted the council in 4 years?
That aint " shenanigans" my friend.
There are a whole bunch of federal laws violated.
At the expense of our labor. Our monies and our reputation
Yeahhh high jinx and shenanigans.
Perhaps if you let members vote.
1 man 1 vote.
Secret ballot.
Youll see how many " shenanigans" are curtailed.
Really?
ReplyDeleteMeetings. Comedians.
You may think its funny.
No representation.
No stews.
No work rules.
Nothing in your hand in writing to inform a contractor of rates hours... Or do you just trust the contractor ( thats disturbingly funny)
No vote.
No voice.
Members with purchased books cutting on a chopsaw on their knees on the floor.
Total lack of awareness of jurisdictions.
Work disputes even miner ones always always deferred to the contractor ... You are gone .. And not 1 person will stand for you and your rights ... Like a steward.
Because stewards arent protected in their capacity to voice issues for the men.... So they dont.
Start times ... Whenever.
Skip breaks. Lunch. No water.
Yeahh its allll funny.
Unless you joined a union to insure dignity and rights.
But you think its all funny.
Meetings? Are you frigging kidding me? Puppets and ball lickers.
Its a 1050 palooza with alllll the nepotism wrapped into one minus the Bocci court and the meatball recipes.
No one goes to meetings.
Retirees that should be watching in horror.. And cockholsters who ....welll....hold cocks.
Its all funny.
My guess is you are exactly one of those go along guys who has zero integrity and less dignity.
Congrats. You are the new UBC company man.
Man joe lockley You sounds really bitter. Are you mad that Ed would not of made you an organizer Because he knew how smart you were.
ReplyDeleteThe old regime that hired the clowns that keep getting promoted in the new regime. They were hired because they were inferior and never would be a threat to take a real leadership role. Well guess what? The new EST's, and higher ups, have no clue and keep promoting these derelicts. What does this say about our Philly leaders and national leaders? Piss poor leadership all the way to the president. Now remember, that old regime and the team leader of the new regime, successfully got kicked out of one of the biggest money makers in the country with their great (barbaric) negotiating skills. The Pennsylvania Convention Center. Listen, if you guys want change, keep these guys in Philly in charge and change will come all the way to the president. They will get everyone fired (maybe even you. They are already doing it just watch. And for the guy that wants to go to the union meetings and listen to these leaders withhold all the important information from you. These leaders are always lying to everyone even their bosses and you. Do yourself a favor and spend that time with your family and then hire some real representation. These guys you are listening to at this meeting could not get hired for any job at a decent organization and this is why our union will fail. Any organization that hires terrible leadership will fail and that is what has taken place here. I am new here and I appreciate the open forum and honesty. Thanks and more to come.
ReplyDeleteIn fairness. There was a wee bit more of a political power play going on at the center.
DeleteRemember. The negotiations all were led and finalized by senior ( hardly a barbarian)
With all due respect to you and your analysis... There were forces wayyy bigger than i think you were aware of.
One of them is looking at tax fraud in camden and the other player is waiting trial for 114 counts of racketeering.
Fyi. The carpenters WON the case of unfair labor practice negotiations against the center.
It was a sham to remove any and alllll political hurdles in the path of dougherty/ norcross.
The leading political powerbroker was removed in this whole mess to. Bob Brady.
It was not " about" the center as much as it was about the political landscape of phila.
Bigger picture my friend.
Good post. Welcome. I look forward to reading more input.
You are absolutely correct!! The Carpenters were locked out of the convention Center because the Center was under the control of Norcross and Johnny Doc. Sr. Signed the new convention Center agreement but the Center refused to accept it ergo the carpenters were locked out. Do you know who else collided with Norcross and Johnny Doc?? Frank Spencer. He authorised the contribution of almost a million dollars be made to a Super Pac that supported the election of Jim Kenney for Mayor vs Antony Williams who was supported by the old MRC only after Kenney lies to the MRC by saying that he wasn’t going to run for mayor prior to the MRC endorsing Williams. Once the MRC endorses Williams then Kenney “decided” he was going to run for Mayor. Our own UBC members, Spencer, Capelli, Sproule’s, Ballantyne, etc., conspired with non-members to see us all lose the convention Center.
DeleteTo often criticism is mistaken for mean spiritedness.
ReplyDeleteDid you ever stop to think that the criticism should be an opportunity to listen.
Criticism is here because good solid union members are here pointing things out that directly affect their livlihoods and what conditions we must now deal with day to day.
They are members who care and are actually voicing concerns.
It SHOULD be an opportunity to listen and address concerns to create a better , safer, workplace and career choice.
Right now we have fallen back to where we were 112 years ago.
Think about that.
Having to " fight" to get water on a job. A basic dignity.
Then get laid off because you were a " troublemaker" for asking for a drink of water.
The criticisms are valid.
Most members here want honesty.
Something this new leadership abandoned from day 1.
Trying to regain trust after all we have seen is almost impossible at this point with the current ppl in place.
They have all lied. By omission or overtly lying.
You dont deserve our trust or respect.
You damn sure arent winning that back at some " meeting" that the same cast of characters that lied are conducting the meeting.
Its a joke.
No where was it more blatant than the meeting where charlie brock awarded a voice vote to the wrong majority.
That followed with a corrupt division vote meeting in which the board actively " stacked" the meeting. Dont believe it. Ill show you the texts for a call to stack the room from romeo and others.
That IS AN EXACT example of why we dont trust any of you and want you all gone.
That was dishonest.
That IS this current leadership in a nutshell.
Spot on about the meetings, thank you. As for the convention center, it was barbaric leadership that took place there for decades and everyone was tired of it. What about the fist fight that took place with convention center management right before negotiations started. Then a deal was on the table that would have meant giving up a few concessions, that are normal in most convention centers, and hours to keep hundreds of thousands of hours and eventually gain thousands of hours when more shows came, which they did. Thank both the old regime and new regime which consists of leaders that were banned and not allowed to step foot in the convention center.
ReplyDeleteThe agreement of which you speak was signed by the MRC and submitted to the convention Center before the deadline, but the Convention Center Management refused to accept the signed Agreement that included the concessions you referred to; ergo we were locked out by management. Furthermore, the convention Center never successfully disputed that the MRC failed to sign the new Agreement and submit it on time as required.
DeleteReferring to the old MRC as Barbarians for taking aggressive action in defence of the member while you fail to criticise the actions of the current EAS who steals our money in plain sight, who tried to force members to participate in certain activities (MUP) or be fined, who let non-Union contractors work throughout the city with little resistance, who fail to collect all the benefits owed to the members from certain contractors, who fails to fight to protect our work jurisdiction, that works to reduce area wage and benefit standards through the use of under paid provisional members, that fails to bargain effectively with employers, etc. Frankly I preferred working under the old Barbarians vs this new group of weak, stupid, deceitful, slimy thieves!!!
New Boss same as the Old boss.... Won’t get fooled again!
DeleteThe new group of weak, stupid, deceitful, slimy thieves is made up of the old Barbarians who which not one of them stood up for themselves when the MRC was dissolved. How can you truly defend the members when you can’t even defend yourself
DeleteYa, that is the deal they walked away from then later signed and hurried up to get it delivered when they realized everyone was moving on without them. The legal battle is, did the leaders have enough time to read the contract, sign it and submit it. The carpenters say no and the convention center says yes.
ReplyDeletePssst. The carpenters won the lawsuit of unfair collective bargaining and good faith bargaining.
DeleteIf your only arguement is to relitigate the convention center, forces beyond control that interfered in that process... Then by your same prepostorous logic ... Mike Hand lost PES.
But but but but that was a fire and an accident that couldnt be controlled.
Yep.
So was the firestorm of the alliance between norcross dougherty/ sweeney/ spencer/ mccarron.
Give it a rest. You are deflecting like sissy liberals from the very real issues of theft, mismanagement, coercion, intimidation, blackmail, that are going on AND CAN BE CHANGED.
For the guy that previously posted about the GHOST EMPLOYEES at the convention center. Can you please provide more information on this. This could be one of the main reasons many carpenters lost their jobs. I don’t think managers, contractors or politicians wanted the carpenters leaders to have GHOST EMPLOYEES at the convention center.
ReplyDeleteThe Carpenters did not lose their jobs at the convention Center for “ghosts” on the payroll. Carpenters lost jobs at the Convention Center because they got locked out by management. Ghosts on the payroll can be found working at the EAS and include many former NJ and NYC Council members and employees.
DeleteI could.
DeleteI do however think it best if you contact the Phila Team Leader.
Im sure he will be very helpful in your quest.
If not let me know and ill delve deeper.
Pssst. Ask him about the ghosting on the broad street job that cappeli signed off on.
For kicks.
So you know. That was not the reason for the CC debacle.
DeleteThe bigger picture.
It was the clash and hostile takeover of 2 democrat party political machines.
You had the established democrat controlled machine being ousted by a new and more radical ( and heavily financed ) machine led by the Norcross Cabal.
All you guys have blindly voted to slowly slit your own throats year after year.. Time and time again by voting for democrats.
Standing at rallies, clapping like trained seals for the very same politicians that have surgically eviscerated you.
There was never a seat at this table with norcross.
It was a long standing bitter feud between the carpenters and norcross ( specifically Ed sr)
Ed protected us from the talons of norcross ... Many times over. You just didnt know it.
Connor strong bekelew is norcross company.
Norcross is a vindictive mafia style pos. He is relentless in destroying any and all who opposed his " offers"
From health care to the inquirer and much more...norcross had an axe to grind with senior and looked for any and all opportunities to undercut us.
He teamed up with doc and slowly but surely attained seats ( through connor strong ) on the convention center board.
Putting mounting pressure on the board and thus us.
Most of you dont know it.
Why did we back hardy williams?
Hardy williams offered Ed HIS seat on the cc board in lieu of support.
It was to little to late. The political forces were in play as doc was busy destroying the field ... Thus Bob Brady ( our only ally and the political powerbroker in this region) he " retired" under scandal that was " dimed out " by doc/ norcross.
You guys think this was street level tit for tat?
Heres a thought.
You want to strike back?
Money and support.
Stop voting for these democrats offered here.
They MORE THAN ANY ENTITY HURT YOU.
Wake up.
This isnt a " political" post.
You wanted to know who " hurt" us?.... Its the same ppl you blindly support in every election.
Time to strike back.
God one can only wonder what kind of sellout comes with our new contract. Even thou there is a ton of work on the books it won’t stop SPROLLES. ON A HUGE CORONA GIVEBACK TO THEIR CONTRACTORS. CINCH YOUR LOINS BOYS ITS COMING.
ReplyDeleteYou can bet on it. What we have today is a situation in which we are now exploited by both our Union and our Employers with the consent of those who manage our Union. But what about our consent??? As you all know or will at some point we as members don’t have a Vote regarding contract approvals, wage break downs, the selection of representatives/council employees, etc!! So who does get to approve new contracts and wage breakdowns??? Why of course the Delegates to the Regional Council. But aren’t the majority of the Delegates also Council employees??? Why yes sir they are!!! But wait why should they be able to vote on an Agreement under which they don’t work but that I do as a member??? Isn’t that a conflict of interest based on the collection of dues by employers from our wages and paid to the Council Employers? It sure is!!!
DeleteSo why is this allowed to happen? Because McCarron said so, therefore it shall be so. Note that last part. Council Employees will vote to approve a contract that you as member will work under, that the Council employee does not work under, and you have no way to oppose this new contract. STOP PAYING DUES aka EXTORTION FEES.
Wouldnt that be interesting.
DeleteLet the appointed delegates who are not bound by the cba vote to approve the cba.
May 2nd .... No carpenter goes to work.
Gee. Id like to see that " injunction" request in a federal court wouldnt you?
Judge. " ok let me get this straight... You want to force members to go back to work under a contract they didnt approve but a group of appointed council reps and others who most arent affected by the cba .. Voted for them without the actual rank and file approval?... Do i have that correct counsellor?
Ubc lawyer. " umm yes thats it"
Judge. " get the f out of my court!!!"
Force their hand. Force the issue.
It will collapse in a court.
The ubc constitution is worthless if put to a federal test.
Can the guys that were providing facts and not conspiracy theories get back into the convention center conversation. That was great stuff.
ReplyDeletePssst.
DeleteI post on here more than anyone.
If given you facts.
I can lay the whole cc out for you. I was there.
The post i made about the norcross dougherty team ... Was far from a conspiracy theory as you called.
1. There are no " conspiracy theories" i offered 1000s of facts on here for over 4 years.
Heres a fact.
Patricia Mueller/ Marita Crawford.
How their actions affected the cc and the supreme court justice of Pa.
Interested?
Calling all retirees!!! You have the same standing as a regular working member to file complaints with the DOL and NLRB abs the independence through the pension that we working members are paying for that we won’t receive our selves!!! You guys have to get engaged in this battle because your pensions payments are going to get slashed if you sit on the side lines. I don’t want to hear you guys say what you would’ve done in your day, I want to see you start doing something to help us working guys out today!!!!
ReplyDeletevote. Non/democrat. If you want the unions to survive. Just so you know pro /buisness. Republicans will help unions even if they don’t like us. Vote red. We have been dliding for thirty plus years guys it’s time to flip the table. Vote red before its to late.
ReplyDeleteMost members already vote Red. In the case of organised Labor we get screwed equally by both parties....... But we should vote in every election we can, red or blue, since we lost our right to vote within the UBC.
DeleteRemember. When our " union" is backing someone... They are good for the " union" NOT THE UNION MEMBER.
DeleteGuys need to wake up and realize they are 2 seperate entities.
You have no vote in your " union" therefore it truly isnt representative of whats good for you!!
Voting OPPOSITE of the " leaderships" wishes ... Is usually better for you.
Ie. As soon as you got a tax cut... They raised your dues ( without a vote) and locally kenney upped the property tax..what was " good" for you...was taken by democrats you were asked to back.
Its a ponsy scheme.
You all work hard for your money.
This was a quick example. We can go back and forth allll day on the pros and cons.
Cut through all the shit... The end result is still the same.
Any gains we make are siphoned off ( preplanned)
Any gains to the funds arent truly gains for you... Its a promise...until those " funds" are in YOUR bank account and under your management.. They are the " unions" gains not yours.
An example of that " promise" :
Healthcare for life ... Ask the retirees how that promise affects their monthly check.
Allllll those years of contributing more to that fund?
Wake up. Shift your thinking. Look at reality.
Heres another example.
ReplyDeleteAgain. You as the member need to realize its 2 distinct entities when they say " for the good of the union" it should be finished by saying " but not for the member "
Thats more truthful.
This example is a bit deeper.
They are backing candidates usually liberal progressives , because of legislative policy and gains... For the " union" .
Example. ( caveat. This is not written from a racist lens.... I dont want to hear any crap.. This is legislative reality)
How many of you have been told::: " hey we are hiring... You say i know a guy.. Yeahh but we need a minority.
Or. Id love to hire you but i have to keep a quota.
Or. You were laid off because of said " balance" .
Any foreman on here running big jobs who says they never dealt with this is lying.
The union backs candidates who push for legislative mandates to " create" programs... That effect YOU because those programs negate experience, skill, and quality of work and replace it with " numbers, gender, and race.
Why?
The " union" by " complying" receives more federal dollars through stipends, grants, aide, to apprentice programs and other avenues.
More money in the till, that you never see, that you have no control over, that honestly does not benefit 85% of the members.
So you walk away without a job that you may be truly qualified for... But because " the union" backed a Troy Singleton... You arent working on merit.
Sidenote( if you follow Troys legislative record.. 90% of his policy and legislation is minority driven. )
So not only do your taxes support this.. Which they do. You are supporting yourself out of work.
Remember that at the ballot box.
Research the candidates.
Vote.
Make your own choice.
But i strongly encourage you to REALLLLLY look at who your union is endorsing.
Put the bullshit aside and realllly look at policy.
Until you engage.... You will be taken advantage of and have zero say.
Ok fact of the day. We were offered a 10 year contract at the Convention Center with a raise every year. Other leaders at the table agreed to sign the deal and we did not. They also told us we were crazy not to sign the deal right away.
ReplyDeleteYou are incorrect. We did sign the deal and submitted at the deadline, convention Center management refused to accept it hence they locked us out. Which is why the MRC picketed and sued in court. The Lockout was engineered by Frankie Spencer, George Norcross, Johnny Doc, Mike Capelli, etc., as part of their part plan to justify the dissolution of the MRC. So the reason why carpenters aren’t in the convention Center is because of a carpenter named Frank Spencer who is second in command at the UBC. As for a ten year deal that I never saw or ever heard of until you mentioned it here. Not that it matters because the plan by the conspirators listed above was not to accept any agreement from the MRC, the plan was always lockout!!
DeleteWake up kid.
DeleteThe contract basically left us with booth sizes 50x50.
All the lesser booths which was 90% of our work were to be self performed.
How much work would there have been?
How many 50× 50 booths are there a show? 1. Maybe 2.
The man hours would have been cut by over 70%
Just stop. You obviously dont know what was in that contract.
Thanks for the fact. I wonder if the guy who says he was there was at that table you speak of
DeleteYou want to worry about mamhours being lost? You better start worrying about the over 1 million manhours gone... Not replaced ... At PES.
ReplyDeleteOr do you blame eddie for that too?
Wasn’t in the deal the the customer could build a 6/10. Booth. So. We would have half a workforce down there. But you guys would bitch about that to. No winning. Damm if you. Damm inf you don’t. There is more to that story my freind !
ReplyDeleteExactly. Less than half the work force. And the " rest of the story" was laid out pretty well ( briefly but accurately in the above posts)
DeleteWhy are we even talking about this!! Its over. Your new managers cant fix it either.
True or not?
You have new faces... They cant fix it, not without concessions that are insane.
Stop deflecting.
We are 5 years away from that.
Weve had 4 years of this " new" group and our council is on the verge of bankruptcy.
Reps fired
2nd Vp resigning because of his coming indictment on fraud and tax evasion.
The 1st VP is going down for embezzelung federal funding to the apprentice program.
You have no voice.
No representation.
No rules.
Do you honestly think.. Under the current insanity... That working at the center would be anything less than hostile.. With less pay. No benes. And no rules.
If you want to work there soooo bad. Change your book.
Join local 8 stagehands.
Have at it.
Our ubc is imploding.
Pes ( huge manhours for almost alll trades is gone. )
We have corruption running unchecked through the whole organization.
The center is a moot point.
Its gone. Issues far greater than you are willing to accept were in play.
Issue that had much bigger implications.
But you dont want to hear that.
You wanna run around and chirp " eddie lost the center"
Stop the pointless deflection.
Well put and one last recap, Carpenters got locked out of the convention center by Management which was a willing participant in a conspiracy to eventually dissolve the MRC.
DeleteOur new leaders haven’t done one constructive thing to get members back to work in the convention Center as previously employed because they have been told that the convention Center is gone, it belongs to Johnny Doc, and if you want to keep lining your pockets with the members money you’ll move on. Our new management moved on five years ago and so should you.
You should also know that everything was better under the MRC, for all parties, everything!!!
The only members who think the EAS or any other Regional Council is working for them are out of towners who worked under the likes of Skippy Boyce, or Bill Halbert, etc., who don’t know any better.
But guess what?? Your opinions don’t matter. Action is being taken on all fronts by members and agents of the state, the end is near for team McCarron. Now why don’t you zip up Frankie’s pants and crawl back to your box.
I think he asked why they signed the contract if it was so bad
DeleteIm just trying to follow you guys. If the deal was so bad why did you sign it?
ReplyDeleteIt is becoming apparent that no explanation other than " eddie lost the center" will suffice.
DeleteThats interesting because that was the current ( weak) board used as their election mantra.
Melio, hocker ( which is astounding) romeo, ron, all of them.
Weak. Ill informed. They counted on their sheep to bleat the same thing. Facts dont matter.
Lets look at the new situation.
Norcross in deep shit for tax evasion.
Dougherty up on 114 counts of racketeering.
Ballantyne fired and paid off to be quiet for exposing pension fraud and ftc violations and other issues.
Cappeli ( forced out for tax evasion and racketeering.. More will follow on that)
Spencer part of the focus of a grand jury.
McCarron the focus of a fed grand jury.
I dont remember the MRC having this wonderful resume?
Look beyond your apron and sneakers bro.
Open your ears
Open your eyes.
Wouldnt it have been kinda cool to have an e board that ACTUALLY informed you?
Transparency to them is a locked room with blacked out windows.
Trust but verify.
Watching it being pulled away and seeing who the contract was going to ... Was better to keep some prescence than none.
ReplyDeleteAs the mrc team was walking out they literally walked by john doc and mike barnes.
Docs people wrote the contract for barnes with the knowledge , and verbiage to take the work.
It didnt matter. It was a done deal and forgone fact that the carpenters and teamsters were going to be booted.
The cc just needed to have bodies to cover the work.
There was another factor at play.
The mrc and the teamsters put forth a plan that was designed to reduce the end user costs.
There are 2 mark up agencies ( that the city politicians and state reaped and raped the vendor with)
Imagine. Carp wages and benes are at say 78 / hr.
After elliot lewis markup and the center markup... The cost to the vendor was close to 200/ hr.
Mrc offered to have their own labor broker at 1803 spring garden.
An office that would directly man the shows. Cost to vendor. About 90/ hr ( incl workmens comp)
Big savings riight?
But it knocked the city pols and others out of the slush fund pig trough.
Result. Carpenters locked out.
Part 2.
The teamsters.
There were 3 weigh ins for the center.
Each was about 100 dollars for every 1000 lbs of freight.
1st weigh in at south philly station.... State gets that.
2nd weigh in... Going in to center.
The city got that.
3 was a weigh out as freight left.
Covered teamster costs.
Teamsters offered to have only 1 weigh. That would be everything that came in.
Getting rid of south philly weigh and the weigh out. 200 /1000 lbs of freight.
Do the math. Its staggering.
Result teamsters locked out.
Both unions offered mechanisms to reduce end user costs.
Thus slashing slush funds for the city etc.
Meanwhile norcross who owned the inquirer for a while was propagandizing " how expensive we were" " how unfriendly our rules were" etc.
Keep in mind. He is BFF with the then east coast vp frank spencer... Who if he was truly concerned about " carpenters" work ... Could have intervened etc.
It was an orchestrated event to remove all and any who had political clout in the city to pave the way for this " new" powerbroker.
Ed and Bob Brady were the last 2 political obstacles.
Ya want more?
If he needs more than that he should write a letter to Spencer and ask him what his role in the matter was, and what he’s doing to get members back in the Center going forward. Better yet sign up for a .300 hitters event and ask Spencer and McCarron in person. The truth is he doesn’t want to hear the truth because he’s part of the problem.
ReplyDeleteWell said. Sadly tooo true.
DeleteGuys on the job we were on last before the virus told us about this blog. It is interesting. Why wouldn’t the Philly guys exposed all this back then like Ballantine did whenn he was removed
ReplyDeleteGet ready for all the excuses and blame
DeleteWe did. We continue to do so.
DeleteWhy do you think cappeli quit.
Why do you think mccarron was subpeonead.
Why do you think the mups changed and soon negated?
It was us.
I met with fed agents 2 months after the merge.
1 irs. 1 fbi. 2 DOL.
The feds read this blog.
You havve nooo idea how much time and effort and reams of paperwork i and a handful of members have submitted.
This aint new. Weve been doing this for 4 years!!!
It would have been great to have had help. What you are seeing is the result of work by 20 people.
Can you imagine if we had help?
Could you imagine if we all stood together.
A lot of you will soon be facing the harsh reality that a lot of us have said from day 1.
You have NO representation.
You have no rules.
You have no one to be beholden to... ( well a few do) to get you work.
You have each other. Thats it.
It is time to " unite"...
We only have each other.
Drop the blind allegiences. Look at whats been going on and where its headed.
We only have each other.
And when thats gone.... Its over.
Are you going to allow some out of state political hacks who arent members dictate your livlihood and career bc they bought corrupt jersey scumbag " leaders" ?
If you are cool with that because " mike hand said so" or " hocker said so"
Then there is no help for you.
The rest of us want our union back and justice for those that are trying to hurt us and our families.
I don’t think everybody knows. Most people know what the bully leaders say happened. Do you really believe them? I don’t. How could you. Actions speak louder than words
DeleteYa, why wouldn't our paid representatives who were there and the guys that say Spencer purposely lost the convention center confront him and go public with this. The press and Feds would love this. He would be done.
ReplyDeleteEverybody already knows exactly what happened at the Convention Center, it’s already documented in multiple court records and filings, and its been well outlined here in this blog by previous members.
DeleteYou know who could probably give you some good answers to your questions about the convention Center??? Ray Brugueras, our new chief of staff and acting EST was a trade show worker in NYC until one day he went to work with the UBC. I bet he’s a wealth of information. Or ask Mike Capelli he should have the answers to your questions and he since he’s retired he should all the time in the world for you. Good luck.
You are soo right.
DeleteIve posted like 6 responses to this guy.
All of it is documented.
Court cases ... Who did what where and when.
Its been relitigated 8 times.
Its really quite tiring.
Perhaps if more members did their own work instead of relying on the mindless drool and rumors and " well ron mcleod said ... Or " i heard from a guy" etc.
All of it was public record.
You can still find ballantynes superior court dockett number.
And monitor the laufenberg trial.
There was a ton of info here ( i posted a lot of it)
This obsession has me quite bored.
No more about the cc.
Lets talk about what the " real carpenters" are facing in the field day in and day out.
Enough of the cc.
Its over. Its done.
It isnt coming back any time soon.
I concur. I’m waiting to get copies of all the council credit card statements, sifting through those documents will be like sifting through gold!!!
DeleteIf the carpenters won the lawsuit of collective bargaining and unfair bargaining as was stated previously how is it over. I guess Ballantyne gets the win? Did he win this case? What are Hand and Hocker doing to put us back to work? Please somebody give us real answers
ReplyDeleteAnd so it begins.
DeleteThe awakening of members who , because work was " good" were content and complacent to never look up or beyond the paycheck.
Now the paycheck isnt there ... And you are wondering where the next one is... Allll the while you didnt care or pay attention that allll around you the " leadership" changed the rules and everything else that you used to use to secure work.
Your question has been raised many times.
In the context of accountability.
Why arent representatives held accountable to generate work opportunities?
High salaries... No accountability.
Just because they couldnt " sell" the product doesnt mean there were plenty of members that could. Those members dont fit the " boxes" of what the " union" wants.
Which if you talked to reps... Their " hands were always tied" or " i can only do so much"
You should ask the bigger question.
Why is the leadership crushing OUR ability to attain, flip, secure work under the guise of being contractor friendly.
As you can see... The friendliness is working so well for alllll the non union contractors allll over the " sanctuary" city.
Keep voting democrat though!!!!
You have allllmost wiped yourselves out.
Ballantyne had nothing to do with that case.
DeleteTo answer your question " how is it over"?
It starts with you.
Are you willing to walk out.
Are you willing to organize and get EVERY carpenter to unite?
Have a list of concerns to be met before working.
To shut the entire union construction market down?
Your leadership wont.
You will never get alll carpenters to stand together.
We arent a union.
A union would stand united ... Every member... For the good of all.
We do not have that " committment" from members who love the wages and benes as long as its handed to them and it doesnt ever cause an inconvenience.
Sound about right?
Call mike barnes.
ReplyDeleteLocal 8 stagehands are always hiring.
Transfer your book. You lose no credit or pension with the carpenters ( unless doug changes that)
Go work there.
Be happy.
Youll have to wait until it reopens of course.
Incidentally.
Do you remember when 158 was installing " officers"?
The lawsuit was settled before that.
Carpenters won.
Did romeo, or hocker, or hand , campbell, melio, and all the other eunuchs mention that? All you heard was " eddie lost the center"
The more detrimental loss of manhours is PES.
Tommy kneepad Dougherty is still working...so is his special needs brother mikey.
Are you?
Keep voting democrat.
You are almosttttt there.
They never answered your question or the previous ones. They will just insult you and say they want to stop talking about it. Just like all our old and new representatives do. No class.
ReplyDeleteEvery question was answered.
DeleteIf the blogger was " industrious" he could access all the info his or her self.
Not sure what the hell you were reading. Every question was answered in detail.
No insults.
Who should suffer fools lightly?
No class?
Read the 111 posts above moron.
Im reading along here.
DeletePerhaps it is time to ask local 158 pres Romeo to reanswer some questions?
He will glance at mike hand and look for a bail out. Mike Hand will try to get to the podium to " try and discredit the question" then romeo will reiterate that.. Until of course someone else speaks and gives another view... Then romeo will puppet that statement.
Then Hocker will say something disjointed and asinine... Then romeo will go with that.
It is the strong conviction he exudes that makes the local so strong.
Not.
A Local President that is a rank in file member and not on staff, doesn’t really know anything. They’re working with their tools every day. It’s like asking Trump a medical question instead of Dr. Fauci.
DeleteThat is exactly what happened in this blog for the last 120 comments. Too funny
ReplyDeleteAre you saying that if you want Romeos opinion you must 1st give it to him?
ReplyDeleteSo.... He is a " political windsock"?
Which way the wind blows and who he is talking to ,,. Dictates his opinion... They had a name for that... Its called lying out of both sides of your mouth to keep a job.
Remember that when dealing with these guys.
EVERY ONE OF THEM LIED TO YOU AND CONTINUE TO DO SO.
Why ?
This post is for the new guys.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible the site moderator " silence dogooder" could post the 990s from cappeli showing the council monies of 108 million that he " signed" for.
Then look at the balance of 102million on his 990.
This is one of the issues cappeli had. Not the full reason he stepped down. 1 of many.
If you think the phila carpenters ( many on this site) werent instrumental in creating pressure read it for yourself.
See. Cappeli had to have authority from mccarron to do this.
Also. By posting the actual letter that 11 philly carpenters signed ... And others nationally... Asking where the internal investigations were on the ballantyne charges
Read the docs yourselves if site moderator posts them.
They are however in the archives on this site.
Thanks.
The 990s and the letter are on this site already.
ReplyDeleteYes. I was hoping the new ppl could find the archives and then put 2 and 2 together to see a small sample of why cappeli may have " run"
DeleteCombined with the gloucester " sham" office, and wife getting a 6 figure salary despite her being a full time real estate agent.
Cappelis vinyards and his wine " company" have done well with that lil extra income.
We should all visit his vineyards in jersey and sayy hi.
Correction. glassboro office. Sorry. Auto text.
DeleteGlassboro.
Run. Don’t forget who run to north jersey
DeleteSo what’s the over under on when charges get pressed against Team McCarron??? Before the General Convention seems too soon, but first quarter of 2021 seems very plausible. Any thoughts??? Who bails next?? Spencer?? Obviously Capelli is out.
ReplyDeleteGuess all you lying greedy leaders are enjoying your paychecks. Haven’t heard of any giving back to the members where it alllll comes from
ReplyDeleteSince a member that was involved and said they were there, stated Frank Spencer committed racketeering while conspiring for the carpenters to be thrown out of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. I would say he will be indicted next.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Capelli used his influence as UBC Eastern District VP to support legislation in NJ back in 2017 that sought to provide tax credits for those developing wineries in NJ.
ReplyDeleteNext question is Mike related to Lou Cappelli, a lobbyist for the Garden State Wine Growers Association?
Ya think?
ReplyDeleteIt would seem that allllll in bed with Norcross is skating on the edge of the razor when it comes to " influencing tax schemes"
Every last person.
You should watch the lobby for the " medicinal marijuana " thats goung on. All the " property being purchased and by who... Using the UBC name and other avenues of influence. Weird.
ReplyDeleteThat pesky name Trish keeps popping up on 750k sf buildings.
Surely no UBC officer would ever use the name and influence of position to lobby for individual personal gain and enrichment!!!
ReplyDeleteThat would be a violation of their oath as officers and in some cases borders racketeering!!! That would never happen.
The New Jersey rooted " leadership" time and time again has proven they are men of integrity and not a plague of locusts who destroy their food source and then seek out new food sources to lay them to waste.... No way.
Sproules is a man of integrity. Just look at alll the UBC clothing he wears( that you pay for and have no access to) those council credit cards are magical.
The same goes for all the MRC reps that signed on to have a job and continue to do so today. Thought some of them had some integrity. They sure did prove that wrong. Keep taking our money. You’ll get yours someday. How can you sleep at night? What a legacy to have
ReplyDeleteWhen faced with the fact that you cant earn a living with your tools because you are completely incompetent.... I guess the lure of money and an intnl pension and hc is a powerful magnet for the weak and unethical.
DeleteLets call them what they are.
Cowards.
Lets not forget.
ReplyDeleteBill Sproules.
Was handed 102 million dollars of phila council monies.
It was divvyed out to pittsburgh and new jersey and a pittance to phila who generated it.
Its gone or near gone.
Why.
We have earned that money over the years with our old locals.
Some as far back as 139 years.
139 friggin years we were able to have council money.
108 million at time of siezure.
108 million dollars!!!!
Squandered and pissed away in 4 friggin years!!!!
And no accountability.
Doug McCarron by constitution ( that he changed) is DIRECTLY respinsible for this!!!
No trustees. He had to sign off on this!!!
Sproules and waterkotte , spencer , cappeli are by nooo means innocent but for christs sake... McCarron controlled that money.
Where is it?
Why is ESA broke?
Futhermuckers!!!!
Question: How broke is the new Council?? Suggestion: Trustees of any LU, Regional Council and of the UBC can be sue personally for breach of duty. Which would include not red flagging any expenditure of member money on anything not in the best interest of the member. You Trustees read that correctly, you can be sued by any member or group of members for breach of trust. You should ask your self is being a Trustee worth it........ See you in the other side.....
ReplyDeleteTommy Boy has a lot of dirty laundry. Do some digging into North Atlantic Regional Council. Its bad and getting worse.
