ReplyDeleteAhhhh the fine art of nepotism lives on in the UBC. It has been mainly put to rest by policy everywhere else, but not in the UBC, here it is another added perk associated with rank and title!!
ReplyDeleteNow if he brings value to the members that I’m missing, I’m sure he would win an election wouldn’t he???? Oh that’s right Doug you got rid of those didn’t you?? So no one could oppose you putting that stain who happens to be your son on the payroll.
News flash Mikey your Daddy has ruined your meal ticket by virtue of his incompetence and intentional criminal acts. YOU like many UBC Reps are never going to retire in fifteen years because by that point the UBC will be gone.
That’s why there stealing what they can now. When the ship goes down. He who has the most money wins. Right. Cappeli /Spencer /sprolles/cappeli. /singleton /Bugatti’s and so many more !!!

ReplyDelete'It has not previously been disclosed that Holtec was the “subject” of any criminal investigation.
The Murphy-backed investigation of the tax incentive program intensified a long-simmering political feud with South Jersey Democratic power broker George Norcross, whose brother, Phil Norcross, leads the firm that helped write the tax credit law and whose other brother, Donald Norcross, was at the time a state senator who helped sponsor it. George Norcross, whose company built a gleaming Camden tower with the help of millions in tax credits, sits on Holtec’s board.'

ReplyDeleteWHAT DO YOU THINK I SHIT ICE CREAM SAID DIRTY DOUG MCCARRON
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the summer any way you can!!! Don’t worry about the UBC and McCarron’s misdeeds. Because your not going to reform this organisation internally. An external reform at the haves of Law Enforcement is most likely. But be advised that reform will be no different than what has happened in NYC. Everyone on here should know how that working out. The victims of corruption are forced to pay for the clean up and monitoring of something they didn’t do!!! Then they are further victimised by the monitors, contractors, and Union managers who all work together to exploit they few members left. The same thing will happen here in Philly that happened everywhere else.
ReplyDeleteGo enjoy your summer with your family and friends and prepare to be independent of this Union before it finally derails.
About the only thing you can do is add fuel to the fire that is currently consuming the UBC by requesting financial records and turning them over to the DOL. You could also challenge the new MAP Assessment recently put into effect with a secret ballot vote. Outside of that sit back and enjoy the fire.
I thought there was a guy on here. Who was challenging the map assements
ReplyDeleteThere is.
DeleteBreaking: Singleton is leaving the Carpenters after more than 13 years. He just told me. Won't say where he's going yet other than it's private sector. Says it's a "lifetime opportunity" and that move has nothing to do with union's recent troubles.
ReplyDeleteTroy Singleton is leaving the Carpenters.
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/MattFriedmanNJ/status/1278700216783458306
Troy Singleton is the latest in a string of departures for the Carpenters, whose political clout in Trenton has been dissipating. https://subscriber.politicopro.com/article/2020/07/02/singleton-leaving-carpenters-union-after-13-years-1296775
ReplyDeleteIt's facing a federal investigation. A former official has been charged with embezzling $1.5m. Middlesex Dem Chairman Kevin McCabe just left an Carpenters Contractor Trust for a Trenton public affairs firm.
Mr. Shuffler’s firm, River Crossing Strategy Group, recently hired Kevin McCabe, the powerful Democratic chairman of Middlesex County, who is on the board of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and was the state’s former labor commissioner.
Delete
ReplyDelete“It is just an opportunity to continue my professional growth, but to the day I die, the Carpenters will be family to me, and I’ll do everything I can as a family member to work and protect their interests,” Singleton said in a phone interview.
Impact: Singleton said he’ll continue to have the union’s interests at heart. But the union, which is close to South Jersey Democrats and in recent years has been one of the biggest campaign funders in New Jersey, has seen its political clout take a big hit over the last two years amid a federal investigation and staff departures.
Background: Singleton is a council representative at the Keystone Mountain Lakes Regional Council of Carpenters, a subsidiary of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He had been director of operations at the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters, but that organization was dissolved by the main union in May 2018 in a move widely seen as targeting its leader, John Ballantyne, an ally of Gov. Phil Murphy.
Ballantyne sued five months later, alleging he was fired for uncovering malfeasance. That led to a federal investigation. The United Brotherhood of Carpenters has acknowledged receiving federal grand jury subpoenas. The union’s former benefits manager, George Laufenberg, was indicted last year for allegedly embezzling $1.5 million. The union’s general secretary, Michael Capelli, just retired . And Middlesex County’s powerful Democratic chair, Kevin McCabe, in March left his job as president of a related organization, the Carpenter Contractor Trust, to join a Trenton public affairs firm.
Singleton said his departure has nothing to do with the recent news about the union.
What’s next: Singleton will eventually disclose what his new job is. Watch political contributions from the Carpenters to New Jersey super PACs and elected officials to see if they decline.
What a joke!!! Troy has everything he has and is where he is because he was a beneficiary of the PAC contributions taken from every working members check!! Who did Troy work in the field with?? What did he do for signatory employers?? Drywall? Concrete?? Flooring??? Mill work?? Millwrighting?? Pile Driving?? He’s leaving because he’s been forced out or he knows what’s coming......
ReplyDeleteTroy was a no show job. The union can no longer cover it up. Wow bill what are you going to do there coming for you
ReplyDeleteHe left because he had “Job of a life time”??? I’d say the one he left was a job of a life time, considering what he got paid in exchange for what little work he did for anyone but himself. Good luck in private practice Troy, I’m sure you’ll do fine......
ReplyDeleteThis and many others will follow.
DeleteRight dan christie?
Followed by Jonathan Young.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are worse than a knitting circle with your speculative rumor mongering.
ReplyDeleteJust because someone leaves a job, it doesn't mean he's been forced out or fleeing a potential investigation Perhaps it's a better opportunity for a guy who is still a young man with plenty of tread on the tires.
Good luck to Troy in his new endeavor. To the rest of you, if you spent half the time targeting contractors that don't utilize our brothers and sisters with misinformation like what you post here, our market share would immediately rise.
The evidence is overwhelming on both singleton... And the decline of manhours in the phila region DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE COMPLETE LACK OF LEADERSHIP and corrupt mismanagement brought to us by new jersey carpenter leaders.
DeleteRemember... We watched the movie as you gave up work. Gave up contractors. Relied on plas. Never going after work.
We never wanted to be in your sequel.
"speculative rumor mongering"
ReplyDeleteLet me step in here if I may. Troy Singleton is a POS who got paid 0ver $204,000 PLUS a year form the UBC criminal syndicate to abuse his office as State Senator. He had a now show job which in my opinion is a violation of the LMRDA .This POS's job was to introduce legislation in NJ to funnel taxpayer money to the UBC and try to block all non Union company's from obtaining work in NJ. He was a paid political whore for the UBC. Hardy serving the people of NJ is it?? Lets have a look at Singletons answers when called out on his scam.
"I am curious Mr Singleton. When you were at the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey’s Board of Directors meeting who were you there as ??NJ Senator or shill for the Carpenters Union. So whose clock where you on when you appeared. You are getting paid close to a quarter of a million dollars from the Carpenters Union as their employee so when do you actually work for the Carpenters Union to earn that money. The Legislature's Lame Duck priorities do not mean a rats ass to the Carpenters so if you are lining your pockets with Carpenters members money while appearing at this event would you not be in breach of your Fiduciary Duty under the LMRDA??When you were at the New Jersey State League of Municipalities meeting to promote UNION issues and promote the BS Union Tax Fraud extortion campaign who were you there as ?? Senator Singleton or Union shill Singleton and who was paying you??Speaking of fraud do you have any comment of the allegations that a New Jersey Grand Jury served subpoenas on your Carpenters bosses??Do you have any comment on the fraud allegations against your pals and associates Frank Spencer and Mike Capelli for corruption and fraud made by your old boss John Ballantyne??As a New Jersey Senator is it not a conflict of interest for you to be promoting Union extortion campaigns or to be on the payroll of an entity accused of so much corruption??"
ReplyDeleteTroy Singleton:
Mr Dorrough
A few points if I might:
1) You grossly exaggerate my salary from the organization since it’s easy enough to find out.
2) I work for the Carpenters Union every day and represent my organization in a variety of venues.
3) Tax fraud is a serious issue and one that cheats honest businesses and taxpayers. Stockton University did a study on it as it specifically relates to the construction industry.
4) I don’t have a comment on any of the legal proceedings you referenced because I have no direct knowledge of any of the allegations raised. I do trust that our judicial system will fairly evaluate it and a decision will be rendered.
Have a good night sir.
Richard Dorrough
The Union LM2 lists you at $204,054 .Grossly exaggerated??I will get your total from the 990 in a minute(2)You work for the Carpenters everyday?? How many hours a day do you work for close to a quarter million a year??
Richard Dorrough This is not accurate?"Troy Singleton the Sen and Troy Singleton the UBC employee are two separate jobs.Would you not say promoting Union agendas as Sen Singleton the unbiased servant of NJ Taxpayers is a conflict of interest and do you recuse yourself forms votes concerning the UBC??
Troy Singleton: If you have evidence of what you allege then present it to law enforcement officials. That said attributing me to allegations against my organization that have not been proven in a court of law or elsewhere speaks to your bitterness towards an organization that I have served faithfully for 12+ years. I make no apology for the work I have done to grow market share and man hours on behalf of the men and women that I am privileged to represent professionally.
Richard Dorrough "If you have evidence of what you allege then present it to law enforcement officials". Thanks but I already have. You did notice the subpoenas??And you are incorrect about elsewhere. You might want to look again."the work I have done to grow market share and man hours" Which brings us to the whole point of this conversation. Your job as Senator Singleton is to represent the taxpayers of NJ and NOT to increase man hours and grown market share for the UBC..
Toy Singleton can kiss my ass and you can stick you rah rah BS in yours."speculative rumor mongering" Tell you what skippy. I have not begun to expose the POS Troy Singleton. Its coming and there is a lot more..Cinch up your loins.. Any time Troy Singleton wants to discuss the matter in court he knows where to find me..
Good story. Can’t wait for more on this pos of a carpenter/senator!

when all this explodes. and comes tolight. can we get an over /under on how many ubc officals go down. not looking good guys
ReplyDeleteBrother/State Senator Singleton, did you ever approve the use of MUP funds to pay for your participation in certain activities such as a Golf outing in Las Vegas??? When you were employed by the EAS, the KML, and prior to that the NRCC when did you stop working for the members to work for your constituents??? You can’t work for both at the same time despite what you think or tell others. Are any of John Ballantynes allegations in his whistle blower lawsuit accurate?? If not why do think the UBC settled with him and his CO-plaintiffs??

ReplyDeleteSingleton begins new post as insurance executive

It would be a wonderful opportunity to talk with Patricia Mueller.
ReplyDeleteShe washed the money.
She DIRECTLY aided in the election of Troy... Follow the tax fraud...but more importantly... Follow the legislation that Troy was putting forth.
Two glaring issues are forefront.
Mr Singleton was trying to play 2 positions.
Almost allllll of his legislation was to empower minorities in the trades. They even had a shameless ad campaign called " shades of the trades"
Can you imagine. In this day and climate that statement reaks of racism.
I digress. All of these initiatives came with a monetary reward for the ubc.
So i ask... Was Troy representing ALL the many diverse members of the UBC, or only the ones that offered a " cash advance"
Conversely... Was he representing ALL the constiuents in district 8 camden new jersey? Or only a certain investors interest and tax scheme.
We should ask senate maj leader sweeney his thoughts. Hes easy to spot...just follow the guy with dollars falling from his pockets.
If Troy was advancing pro minority UBC member legislation, then he failed at that too, because there still aren’t many non-white members in the UBC!!! Shades of the trades???? You can’t make this stuff up!!!
DeleteTroy I hope you know more about selling insurance than you knew about being a working Journeyman or else it’s going to be a long winter....
So Far in the last 3 months 54 EAS Council Reps/employees we’re terminated. Kevin McCabe and Troy Singleton both left their high paid no show jobs. Mike Capelli surprised team McCarron with his “sudden” resignation. All this following John Ballantine’s termination in 2018.
Now let’s see who goes next..... Any picks??? When making your picks just keep in mind that Georgie Laufenberg and Johnny Doc are due in court this September and they’ll have to decide how they are going plea; innocent, guilty, or guilty with a deal..... and don’t forget about the Grand Jury that was impaneled last August (I think it was last August) because charges could drop before the UBC general convention.
Nothing to see here guys, shut up and get back to work.......
All this would be " shameless rumor mongering" from the " knitting circle" if it wasnt in PLAIN SIGHT and certainly with a tiny bit of digging.
DeleteThe lm2s ... Im guessing are false according to troy?
Better hope not .... Thats an automatic irs audit troy boy.
The johnny doc trial " could" blow the lid off of all of this in this region.
DeleteI have a feeling that once again they will let a lot slide instead of following EVERY tentacle. I hope im wrong and they go scorched earth...
I guess we shall see.
Meanwhile he is STILL the pres of the building trades.
Disgraceful.
DOUG MCCARRON IS IN BIG TROUBLE LONG TIME IN COMING ASSHOLE
ReplyDelete54 employees 'terminated' in the last three months? Got a list of names to quantify that number?
ReplyDeleteI don’t have a list of names, the number of terminated came from the Council. If I’m wrong it isn’t by many.
DeleteRiddle ME this Bat Girl. Sooner than you know you are going to have to ask me your questions in person. I have $50 that says you piss yourself. Care to take the bet???
