THE RIP VAN LAUFENBERG CASE MOVES FORWARD

"That the proceeding(s) to be held today cannot be further delayed without serious harm to the interests of justice"

!!!THANK YOU CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!!!

IN THE LAUFENBERG CRIMINAL CASE AN APPEARANCE VIA TELECONFERENCE WAS HELD ON JAN 6,2020.THE NEXT APPEARANCE IS SCHEDULED FOR FEB 23/2020

NOT MUCH IN DETAILS BUT AT LEAST GEORGES ABILITY TO SIT IN HIS LOVELY HOME AND WATCH SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS WAS DISRUPTED FOR 30 MINUTES

IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO LEARN WHAT THE FRYE HEARING WAS ALL ABOUT

IT APPEARS IN THE CIVIL CASE THERE MAY BE A SETTLEMENT IN THE WORKS.

THERE IS A SETTLEMENT CONFERENCE TO TAKE PLACE ON JANUARY 31,2022

THE FOLLOWING WAS FILED ON THE DOCKET JAN 3,2022

Full docket text for document 257:
ORDER terminating [246] Motion for Protective Order: In view of the settlement conference before Judge Waldor on January 31, 2022, the Court hereby terminates Plaintiff's application for protective order without prejudice to Plaintiff re-filing, if necessary, at the conclusion of the settlement conference. So Ordered by Magistrate Judge Michael A. Hammer on 12/23/2021. (Hammer, Michael)

GEORGE HAD APPLIED FOR A PROTECTIVE ORDER SEEKING TO DELAY HIS DEPOSITION

ACCORDING TO HIS ATTORNEY

"The matters now before the Court are triggered and caused by the Defendants’ insistence that Plaintiff’s deposition must proceed first before any other depositions. The Defendants’ inflexibility is unquestionably based upon Defendants’ hope that the Plaintiff will assert his Fifth Amendment Privilege, in the face of a pending criminal Indictment, to presumably then pave the way for the Defendants to then immediately pursue summary judgment based upon the adverse inference from Plaintiff’s necessarily asserted invocation of his Fifth Amendment Right to Remain Silent and further precluding the Plaintiff’s rights to proceed with deposition discovery"

SO A PISSING MATCH IN CASE GEORGE PLEADS THE 5TH AND TO SHELTER THE UBC  FROM DISCOVERY.NOW IT IS NOT NECESSARY "IF A DEAL IS IN THE WORKS"?

HMM.ISN'T IT FUNNY HOW THE WHEELS OF JUSTICE TURN

I USUALLY HAVE SOME SMART ASS COMMENT TO MAKE BUT SERIOUSLY.....IF YOU OR I HAD BEEN ALLOWED BY DIRTY DOUG AND FRANK SPENCER TO ROB AS MUCH AS GEORGE HAS FROM THE MEMBERSHIP WE WOULD NOT BE SITTING IN OUR HOME WATCHING CARTOONS. OUR ASS WOULD BE IN JAIL

1). Well this is some decent news in the sense that this fat slob Laufenberg is finally being forced to move forward to face his crimes.

2). Let’s hope the Prosecutor doesn’t fall for traps laid by the UBC that would allow Laufenberg and the UBC to shield them selves from discovery.

    3) I’m sure Spencer is leaning on the NJ Fund Trustees and managers to give George what he wants so George will be less inclined to cooperate with the Feds.

4). Let’s hope that this really is the beginning of the end for Team McCarron, it’s been thirty years of no accountability and theft by deception, and there isn’t much time left to turn this organisation around.

I don’t think anyone can fathom how much of ride and die crimies these guys are to each other.
This will all be orchestrated and facts or tips ballantyne left on the table will be dismissed. George will have to make a minimum restitution they will all be slithering on the green soon enough.

The only thing real would be the Feds carrying cardboard boxes out of the funds office and that hasn’t happened or will it ever and by the time feds move I’m sure we will be restructured again and anything they will be looking for will be hidden in Philly. Have you seen those left in charge at fund’s office in NJ you think they know anything????

In the case of Doug McCarron justice delayed is more like no justice!! If McCarron and his criminal associates are ever charged with any crimes it could be another three years, followed by another three years of stalling and by then McCarron (and Spencer) will be almost 80!!!

The best chance at Justice that the working member has will be Right to Work becoming law of the land nationally or in their state.

Well if we become a right to work state that’s not good. So many projects will go highways , schools, oh wait just in northern New Jersey you wouldn’t believe how may school projects their are and they’re not union. It’s not good not sure why theirs no bannering. Don’t tell me it because of Covid. Every year it’s busy no one focuses on this and when the end suddenly comes remember it didn’t suddenly come it been ignored it been procrastinated and finally well I’m almost out this it isn’t my problem all I can say is enjoy your 13 checks you deserve them.

RTW has no impact on what the UBC does or doesn’t do regarding market share growth or loss, what it does do is give the working member the right to withhold dues from a Union that does not represent the working member.

RTW doesn’t change our agreement, it doesn’t reduce work opportunities, it doesn’t stop the use of PLA’s. What it does do is to make our fake Union Reps work under the same rules we do, the most important being to produce for your employer, which in this case is the member.

Nothing about RTW will stop Union reps from negotiating real contracts with real increases, from collecting benefits from delinquent employers, from representing members on the job, etc.

RTW will enable members to have a real say in what our Union does on our behalf. Golf outings during work hours? Denied. Paying for parties that we working members can’t attend. Employing useless friends and family members. Overpaying Union Reps who can’t work in the field. Paying for members to enjoy benefits such as paid sick time time and paid vacation. How many members get paid sick time? How many members get paid vacations?

If I can’t vote to elect who represents me, can’t vote on new contracts, etc. then I should be able to withhold dues assessments.

RTW is coming and I can’t wait!!!

      The projects are already gone.
Most of our " market share" is gone.
We are " pinpointing" ( paying ourselves) to have meagre prescence on jobs. The reps do not even bother. The phone calls to call in " our work" are all met with " there is nothing we can do"... The davis bacon act is shredded.
The non union can now insure and float bonds on the bigger work.

William Sproules attitude.... Appease. Give back. Cut. Do whatever the contractor wants.

      There wont be 13 checks.

The New Jersey Council leaderships did this.

      Own it.

Right to work may burn it all down... But if it is worth something than out of the ash heap a new group may rise.

      Like anything else. Cycles.

As of now... And where its headed... Its not worth saving it.

Imagine this happening under Team McCarron’s consummate and always strenuous leadership…….

If this conduct is illegal in the Pacific Northwest then it’s illegal everywhere else it is taking place throughout the UBC. Every allegation found in this investigation would also be found to be taking place in the EAS and every single other UBC affiliated Council because this is the GP and all other Union employees are guilty of the same.
      1) No show jobs for friends and family,
      2) Don’t represent the working members,
      3) Mismanage members retirement funds,
      4) Take bribes from contractors to not enforce the Agreement,
      5) Use member dues money to pay for parties they can’t attend,
      6) Create a rigged system of democratic delegate representation in which working members have no way to win,
      7) Create a system in which Union employees are completely unaccountable to the members who pay their wages and benefits,
      8) Lose Union market share while Union leaders pay them selves big increases in salaries,
      9) Blah Blah Blah…..

"The Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters embodied the incompetence and unethical behavior unions have championed for years. The investigation should outrage members, but it shouldn’t surprise them." 25+ years, and decades of corruption happening under Doug McCarron watch, including his own corrupt activities, proves two things . . . (1.) Doug McCarron is NO LEADER of working people, and (2.) union corruption trickles down, from the UBC's general office, through the ranks of the carpenters union leadership. The UBC membership does not need right-to-work legislation, we need union members, with a conscience for working people, to step up and lead. Trying to make the difficult, very necessary changes, which the UBC memberships needs, from your armchair, will never work. It will take a concerted effort by many to flush out the scum which guides the UBC today.

One of the best indicators of future performance is past performance. In the case of reforming the UBC the membership has never risen up and utilised the tools and legal rights to bring about change, not in 30 years. So if you think the membership is going to take any meaningful and unified action then go bet your house on a goat winning the next Kentucky Derby.

All the members would have to do to reform the UBC is to support their own in becoming delegates to the regional council and then to the GC. They would only need to win 51% of the delegate elections and they could change the UBC for the better. But as you should know this simple feat has never taken place despite all of McCarron’s misdeeds which include ruining members retirement. If reform hasn’t happened in thirty years there’s a good chance it ain’t going to happen at all.

That’s why this member, who makes a living with tools in his hands and mud under his boots supports RTW becoming law of the land. Then I get to pay for the representation I get, and if I’m not represented properly and don’t get to vote on contracts, don’t get to vote for who represents me, and can’t hold Union employees accountable then I get to withhold the payment of Union Dues. Now if you want to pay Billy Sproules over $344,000 dollars a year in salary not counting benefits and perks then go a head, that’s your Right, just don’t tell me I have to pay him. You can also pay my dues if your that concerned about the morally bankrupt UBC becoming financially bankrupt.

Not sure how it will end for Billy lawsuits, retirement, alcoholism, congested heart failure or Covid complications. But I do know who is smarter interesting to see how Anthony Abrantas will carry out the mission. Entrenching himself after a failed career in law pushed through the UBC via nepotism. Continuing his contacts with politicians and law enforcement departments watch out he’s coming up soon real soon.

Good news New Jersey council you don’t have to get those expensive gps trackers that you use on your targets including Verrelli. The new craze are the apple air tags so convenient probably make Gohdino job easier he won’t have to get dirty crawling around under vehicles but he will always look like a grimey phuck no matter what!

Don't forget that Abrantes failed at hanging blinds before joining union in 05.No apprenticeship served. Became a rep in 09. Been stepping on everyone to get what he wants. One more in his way to the top. Look out Billy, keep an eye on what's in his hands at all times and don't turn your back!
