Last night we finally got a look at the finances of “Jersey Freedom,” the independent expenditure committee that disclosed its existence late in the campaign with mailers and TV ads boosting “conservative” alleged phantom candidates and an unwitting Libertarian candidate to siphon votes from actual Republican candidates in two South Jersey districts.
According to its latest report from ELEC, Jersey Freedom raised $225,000 — all from Brighter Future Forward, a South Jersey Democratic super PAC that also first came to the public’s attention late in the campaign season. The money came in two installments on Oct. 26 and Nov. 1. Brighter Future Forward’s funding, in turn, came exclusively from two sources: $2.5 million from Carpenters union-affiliated super PACs in two installments over the summer, and $1.165 million from American Representative Majority, the long-existing South Jersey Democratic PAC, in payments made on Oct. 26, Oct. 30 and Nov. 1.
The biggest source of income for American Representative Majority was Democratic power broker George Norcross, who loaned it $850,000 on Oct. 25 and $500,000 on Oct. 30. That $1.35 million from Norcross is just over half of everything the group reported raising this election cycle.
It was pretty obvious based on circumstantial evidence that Jersey Freedom was a South Jersey Democratic venture. Now it’s official. Jersey Freedom — whose bank account was frozen by a judge after Republicans filed suit — also released a statement shortly after filing its disclosure form with ELEC, though no one put their name on it. It says the group fully complied with the law in disclosing its existence in October and only disclosing its funding source 20 days after the election. .
“Jersey Freedom has fully complied with the recently enacted Elections Transparency Act, authored by Senator Nick Scutari and signed into law by Governor Phil Murphy on April 3, 2023.,” reads the beginning of the statement.
Wait a second. If that’s the case, does this mean the Elections Transparency Act didn’t actually make elections more transparent?

Meet George Norcross. Nearly two thirds of $1.6 billion in tax incentives in his hometown of Camden, New Jersey, went to his own company, business partners, political allies and clients of his brother.
How a Politically Powerful Family Muscled a Nonprofit Out of Some of a City’s Most Valuable Land
Tax breaks were supposed to lead to a rebirth for one state’s poorest city. But the city has also been reshaped by the rich and influential Norcross family in ways that benefit it and its allies.

Norcrossing the Delaware: How South Jersey’s Political Boss Is Making His Move on Philly
But stories about Norcross’s bare-knuckle tactics occasionally leak out most famously in the recordings known as the Palmyra Tapes. About 15 years ago, John Gural, a then-Palmyra councilman who claimed he was being pressured and bribed to fire an enemy of Norcross’s, recorded the political boss with a hidden microphone. Though Norcross was never accused of wrongdoing, the tapes are chilling.
In a cool, calculated voice, Norcross brags about his influence with governors and U.S. senators: “In the end, the McGreeveys, the Corzines, they’re all going to be with me. Not because they like me, but because they have no choice.” He talks about his legacy: “No one will ever, ever again not include or look down or double-cross South Jersey. Never again will that happen. Because they know we put up the gun and we pulled the trigger and we blew their brains out.” And he makes clear what he has done to men who have crossed him: “I sat him down … and said, ‘Herb, don’t f..k with me on this one … ’cause I’ll tell you if you ever do that and I catch you one more time doing it, you’re gonna get your f...ing b...s cut off.’”

By David Wildstein,
Your question “ DEAR FEDS.WHEN WILL YOU STOP ALLOWING IT TO CONTINUE”. Is a great question that should be submitted to the relevant US Attorneys office that cover NJ, PA, and CA, and also submitted to Merrick Garland because all of these activities cross state lines.
ReplyDeleteJust taking a peak under the Team McCarron hood will expose a dysfunctional engine of organised crime. The dots are already connected, you just have to take your hands that are covering your eyes away to see them.
If such a letter were submitted to the respective US Attorneys via certified mail they could be asked “did you receive the letter? If your not taking any action is it because you condone this activity?”
Investigating the bits and pieces of the Team McCarron syndicate allow investigators to say “not much to see here gang keep it moving”. But if they investigated Team McCarron then the whole thing would start to unravel fast.
Consider that the Feds are going to put that bozo Spencer/Norcross ally Johnny Doc away for what could be a LONG time following his embezzlement trial which could go to the jury in a week. How much is this trash eater accused of stealing?? $600 grand over five years. Team McCarron skims that much from the membership in the first hour of everyday!!! Now maybe Johnny Boy decides to cooperate following a conviction. Who knows. But he may be inclined to flip when he realises he could spend the rest of his retirement in prison.
The dots are already connected, you just have to take your hands that are covering your eyes away to see them.
ReplyDeleteMy hands are not over my eyes.I have already been advised about the New Jersey and NY 'visitors" to the UBC shrine and mega shit hole in Vegas but me connecting the dots vs the US Attorney connecting the dots is night and day.
And you are correct:"If such a letter were submitted to the respective US Attorneys via certified mail they could be asked “did you receive the letter?"
So send the letter.....
I thought about clarifying that thought to specifically refer to the US Attorneys who have the their eyes covered.
DeleteI’m working on that letter now. Should be ready to send in a week or two. Other members should do the same.
If I may add can you post the letter like a template, one can add their own name. Anyone could then be part of a mass mailing petition campaign. That ought to bring some attention!
Delete"can you post the letter like a template"I will let you know after I review the content and language of your letter. So does this mean you are creating a letter, signing it and sending it to a US Attorney??Another option. You have quite a few ideas.Have you considered creating your own blog so you can put up whatever content you want and run with your ideas. Its not very difficult. Can you imagine the rash Dougy would get with another blog.
ReplyDeleteI’ll try and post the letter once I’m finished, just waiting on the conclusion of the Johnny Doc trial.
DeleteI don’t have the time to manage my own blog and this one is pretty good. Mine would be much of the same kind of content which wouldn’t add much value.
I sat on an executive board down there. This is old news. Someday somebody should show how this actually benefits the members. I mean with hard numbers on hours that have been generated through this practice.
ReplyDeleteOld news.New money.New exposure
ReplyDeleteJohnny Doc is found guilty on 66 charges.
ReplyDeleteNow does Johnny start thinking about how he can cooperate to save him self from the prospect of dying in prison?? Maybe he hasn’t cooperated because he’s got nothing to offer?? But I know this; Johnny you should have taken the plea deal you Jack Ass!!!!
Now if what Johnny has done is a crime why is it not a crime for the leaders of the UBC who do the same exact thing???
8 mill. Then . With a wee bit of Capelli math... Carrry the 1...
ReplyDeleteEquals 2 mill.
Ohh the other 6 mill?
Winery in South Jersey.
Oh. Btw.. it is all in black and white.. with his signature.
If Brother Capelli did something untoward, as I suspect you’re implying, the UBC wouldn’t have hired him as a consultant!!!
DeleteDid something untoward…..who’s this his pos drunk brother who sits in collections and does nothing…..why don’t you go back to being a contractor or go pick some grapes at the vineyard and take the rep from 254 with your last name yeah he should be a rep with all field experience he has
DeleteCapelli ran out in the middle of the night.
DeleteConsultant?? To consult on what? How to rob UBC members??
ReplyDeleteOh wait. Are you referring to when they hired Capelli and Spencer as "consultants" to the Northeast council??
ReplyDeleteAs a matter of fact I am!! When these two lions of labor come to help out the local regional councils and their affiliated locals, they should be paid for that industry leading knowledge!!
DeleteLions of labor.BaHaHaHa.That's good stuff. You should do stand up comedy. .You could start off with the story about Franky and Mikey consulting on their real industry expertise.Sex with farm animals. They should be paid for all they have done to UBC members.I was thinking a small cell, matching prison jump suits and a half a roll of toilet paper a week to share. You are correct. In the UBC hierarchy where morons, thieves and scum bags are the norm they were lions.
ReplyDeleteCouldn’t agree with you more
DeleteHaaaaa!!!
DeleteLions of labor yeah right current members please support this site with any information on the endorsement of ex nj senate president as carpenters are moving forward with the defeated Steve Sweeney also a iron worker and works at their international level. If any of you remember this is the guy they wanted instead of ballantyne supporting now governor murphy.
ReplyDeleteSteve Sweeney same district full of corruption Camden nj another norcross hack yeah home of the lions den can’t imagine what kind of corruption can occur if this guy gets in Sweeney has so many scams Spencer probably borrows pages of his playbook
Lions of labor who’s this chiming in Tricia Mueller?
Lions of labor like in the lion king how scars and the other lions plotted against muffasa and simba
ReplyDeleteLion of labor?
ReplyDeleteCapelli is another in a long list of rat fuck punk cowards
He stole.... In plain sight... 6 million dollars that was the accrued collective funds of locals... To include my local .. the funds my great grand father, grandfather, father helped create.
He shouldve been hung on a spike on his stoop... Right next to hand and hocker.
Cowards of Camden
Ever wonder why coreyell walked away was it just so his son could retire was it more????
DeleteWhat really gets me is that for the most part the members think the dopes in leadership are making decisions.
ReplyDeleteAll things go through Spencer or get permission from him even if it’s their idea
Best is yet to come to jersey when whole state is called LU 255 think of the useless reps in 253 they can replace with a billy clone
ReplyDeleteWhat’s going to change? Nothing.
ReplyDeleteTeam McCarron is still in charge and will be until they are ready to retire.
Merry Christmas to all. Go to hell Team McCarron 🖕🏻🖕🏻
ReplyDeleteBrother Capelli is a shit bag.
ReplyDeleteGo ask JR Hocker... Or better yet .. pat mcginley... Bc he was the one that hid the paperwork and made it go away..
Capelli ... Ghost jobs . With real paychecks. To bank accounts that he had access to.
Hey Hocker.. did the trans committee ever see your personal finances in an audit?
How bout the IRS?
DO YOU THINK THEY MIGHT WANT TO SEE YOUR GHOST ACCOUNTS?
pssst.. feds... You are welcome....
They are there... Look under extended family.
As we close out 2023 what do you think the highlights of EAS mismanagement have been??
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think is coming to the EAS in the next year??
Hey Spencer do you still think your job has a real future or have you realised that you got hustled out of the UBC?? To Spencer’s army of hack drones currently drawing a salary from the EAS, do you think your safe?? Which of Spencer’s hack drones do you guys think will go first??
Will hours worked continue to decline?
Will more staff be laid off?
Is the Council going to use more employee tracking tools for some but not others pursuant to more layoffs?
Will membership employment increase or decrease in the coming year? Word on the street is that developers are not going to move forward with planned mega projects until the Federal prime is back to down to 3%. This could take take another two years if everything remains economically stable. Can you wait two more years for the return of big jobs?
Happy 2024 to all the members of the UBC that actually work for a living!!!
Jersey Jerks are giving everything away you’ll see
ReplyDeleteThey’ve been giving everything away in Philly since they took over in 2016. I’m not sure there is anyone left who can’t see it happening.
DeleteAnonymous 4:46 Coreyel jr has his hours to retire. When is enough enough Ed. Do the right thing for your so-called members. You know what to do.
ReplyDeleteI’m sure they paid him to shut up just surprised how it went down with the mystique of Philly and the underworld just more theater the members believed
DeleteWho paid who and why??
DeleteTheater????
ReplyDeleteTheater would be us in public with a rep and a megaphone or your rep introducing a politician at a podium or your rep acting like he’s going to talk to the contractor that owes you benefits
DeleteWell after they squashed pinky ring wearing Bobby satriano former local 6 local 253 and council stooge last mafioso actor would be Jamie Serratella I think he’s in the witness protection program from covid
ReplyDeleteAs it almost killed his manicured clear coat finger nail wearing pasta eating fat ass
Haaaaaaa!!!!!!
DeleteTo the current EAS employees, look to your left, look to your right, many of you won’t be there come this summer. Will it be you who stays or goes??
ReplyDeleteFollowing this purge in the name of “streamlining and efficiency” the EAS will be merged into the North Atlantic Council, when more EAS employees will then be terminated. When will this happen?? A year or less following the next GC which is 2025.
To the employees of the EAS, gird your loins……
Even if they get rid of all the reps from 253 they are still going to get their enhanced annuities and international pension and most of them been around probably going to get 5-6 k a month
DeleteBest part is when they tell the members they don’t get anything extra
Guess that’s why they don’t do anything to shake the boat
DeleteWho do you guys think what EAS employees will make the cut list or stay list?
ReplyDeleteAnyone from Pennsylvania or Philly what is a 787 local carpenter?
ReplyDeleteA disgrace. Low pay zero benefits carpenter.
DeleteNew Jersey Reps promoting them to be used in New Jersey look around guys!
ReplyDeleteRegarding Local 787.Do you have a copy of the CBA or wage breakdown.
ReplyDeleteLU 787 is listed on the EAS website and has a Facebook page stating that LU 787 is a carpenters local out of Puerto Rico. You might find the wage rates and a CBA on the DOL site.
DeleteAlready have been to the DOL site and others. No wage break downs or CBA.Got the LM1,LM2 bylaws and etc.If you do not have the breakdown where do you get the "low pay zero benefits" from??Other questions are why the two low life POS Anthony Pena and Ray Brugueras are officers of the Local. The LM1 declares all the local officers were appointed by the other low life POS McCarron
ReplyDeleteThe UBC house of cards would come down under the slightest scrutiny. This LU 787 is just one of too many examples of a conspiracy to defraud working people of a portion of their wages through membership in a fake union that does not operate in compliance with what is in the best interest of the member.
DeleteIf these guys get brought to Federal Court they wouldn’t last eight minutes. There would be a rush of associates and hacks looking to become cooperating witnesses.
That’s what today’s organizers do lol. They go to these job sites started in Fishtown tell the men you are union get paid $20 - $25 an hour have to pay dues with zero benefits on a promise that one day you will get hired and sent to a commercial job and switch to local 158. The council representatives today are a joke.
DeleteThe UBC is supposed to be about raising wage and benefit standards. It’s just a dues collection agency anymore. Shut down Councils and Locals and steal the money. At least the MUP money grab is no longer.
DeleteI think NYDCC should stay under federal oversight it should also be applied to New Jersey.
ReplyDeleteHow does a guy like Ray Brugueras who’s not allowed to work in NYC or with NYDCC linking him to “organized crime” is allowed to work for the international
Is it true 787 carpenters are tax exempt!!?
I encourage membership to write to their state congressman and ask how?
Remember all that 68 million in money that went to Placid Investment. Which Doug was pres of.. and 3 other officers in the ubc
ReplyDeleteThen they went to PR to create a money laundering local?
That whole Placid shit show with Job Site Steel which includes Covid PPA Money, members benefits not being paid, members dues money being lost by Job Site Steel in the form of a loan that they said they couldn’t pay back, Mooney Accounting aka Spencer’s Book Washers being there accountant meanwhile, etc., etc., etc., is the clearest example of convictable UBC RICO activity.
ReplyDeleteAnd still no action from the DOL!!!!
DeleteJohnny Doc miss spends his members money on him self and his friends and family and he gets investigated, charged, and convicted and will get time. But the UBC can miss spend, steal, and lose millions in plain site and nothing happens?? I can’t see this lasting for ever. At some point all parties must come to an end.
ReplyDeleteDoc was a useful idiot for george norcross . When george was done ass humping him.. he handed him over to the feds
DeleteGeorge vowed to destroy us.. mcCarron " subbed" it out
Write to a republican politician?
ReplyDeleteIt can’t hurt.
DeleteLocal 253 NJ doing their best to keep their eyes closed as Bayonne moves forward Non Union.
ReplyDeleteYep no picket line or banners or mups to even win a ford 150 and with that if the funds are so under market how do they get the funds for the rigged mup rewards
Don’t worry Tom Hurley working hard to keep his friends busy in jersey city
Well as long as Randi condi gets his general foreman rate and a couple other hand picks get all they can at the jersey city Dpw
ReplyDeleteHeard the same about Eddie Jr.
ReplyDeleteAnyone know why they sent coryell jr to local 254 in nj? Please do tell
DeleteI agree all the non union work going on in Bayonne jersey city and Newark
ReplyDeleteWhat are these guys doing “no work” they say wouldn’t this be a great time for them to go find some “educate agitate organize”
Organizing parades and golf outings and barbecues and all the events the membership doesn’t know about
How much market share did the UBC have in New Jersey historically? I bet even in the nineties it wasn’t better than 50%. Now it’s probably down to 20% or a lot less. What can you do?? Side work.
DeleteThey had to keep Eddie working because of the skeletons in his father’s closet basically. Why NJ? Farther away from Philly the better. He had a way of organizing the membership and Spencer-McCarron were petrified of him.
ReplyDeleteIf senior was so connected why did he step down Spencer and Doug afraid of what. Many characters in UBC play mafiaso character in the end it’s a character
DeleteBest part of local 253 no shop stewards needed
ReplyDeleteNo one thought Sr. was connected to a criminal syndicate. What they were scared of was Sr. being a vocal thorn in their side who could provide guidance to Philly members who could oppose Spencer and McCarron’s plans. That’s what they were scared of.
ReplyDeleteBut now Spencer’s out and McCarron’s on his way out now, he just wants to make sure he makes a clean exit that keeps him out of trouble in the future.
To any new members: Get out now before you get stuck!!! This isn’t a viable career, it’s a shitty part time job.
Sorry to agree but it’s definitely different. Everything. How many members are out of work right now?
DeleteLocal 6 BA Buttino was also feared for going against the council. Don’t get it confused he was corrupt pos!
Delete
