Did you know that prior to 1999, by order of General President Doug McCarron, the rank and file vote on the contract was prohibited? Want to know why McCarron changed that? In 1999, some 2000 carpenters in the San Francisco Bay Area staged a wildcat strike against a cheap-ass contract, maybe not that different from the one that's before you now. We ended up with that contract - mainly because the rank and file wasn't organized enough - but we won back the right to vote on contracts for ALL UBC members. Goes to show: Nothing comes without a struggle. Or put another way: No pain, no gain.

Not exactly true, McCarron shit his pants prior to the 2000 convention and left voting on contracts up to the regional Council 90% of regional councils do not allow working carpenters to vote on the contract only the delegates. McCarron Will send in an international rep to sign the agreement if the membership does not ratify, McCarron has the authority to do so, to bad pussy Thornhill isn't still around to run in and sign on behalf of the international

This is an awesome way to tell the ubc leadership stooges that this shit aint gonna fly. We need to follow our PNW brothers and band together and strike across the nation to tell mccarron and his ballwashers that our pension plans must not be touched. Lets work together to pick a day to hold out from work, a nationwide ubc wildcat strike to protect our pensions.

Start spreading the word and let’s pick a date I know it’s gonna be hard because you can’t get to stand together. Philadelphia members need to revolt against our leadership. Hocker Deangelo Guys retarded step son Ronny. All handpicked puppets. What have anyone of them done for this local other than collect a check. Last election we had less then 200 members show up to vote for new executive board and delegates. What a disgrace they put this local in. And they love it because know body cares. That’s how they want it. This way people won’t figure out how dumb these guys are. NOT A CLUE. Basically the whole local 1050 took over from the merger and look where we are at. 50 people coming to meetings. Paying retirees to do picket lines which they got their ass handed to them by brother Roy all the while they continued to be yes men and Inforce a rule made up by NewJersey rat Sproule . Again NOT A CLUE. They all forget that they work for the members not Sproule. But they have no balls to stand up to the crooks. God forbid you have to work with your tools.
