Movers and Shakers: Union leader touts Donald Norcross as Biden's labor chief
Former Vice President Joe Biden had yet to formally accept the Democratic Party's nomination for president last week when the jockeying for possible Biden administration posts began in earnest.
And here's one that arrived over the transom last week: Rep. Donald Norcross, D-Camden, for U.S. labor secretary.
That idea is being championed by Douglas J. McCarron, president of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters,
whose affiliate, the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters, is a close ally of George Norcross, the Camden County insurance executive, South Jersey political power broker and brother of Donald.
"We need somebody who has worked with their hands, especially a construction guy,'' McCarron said in an interview, referring to Donald Norcross' career as a union electrician before his entry into politics.
"I think it would be great. He understands hard work,'' McCarron said, adding that he worked with Norcross on pensions and issues related to the Taft-Hartley Act, a post-World War II law that restricts some labor activities.

Why is the UBC and EAS contributing MILLIONS of dollars of our money to Super PACs we don’t control?? How is that in our interest ?? I know it’s Norcross’s interest to use our money to buy influence that uses to enrich him and his other syndicate members!!!
Maybe what Norcross actually did at the Camden waterfront is legal, I doubt it. But I know using our member money to influence politicians across state lines without our consent and then he and other UBC personnel engage with the politicians is illegal!!!

I know you have been telling the world Norcross sucks but the first International money moved to Connor Strong and Buckelew was recorded in 2017.The first money from the International to Trish Mueller was recorded in 2018 .The first moves to Independence Blue Cross did not start until after they put Frankie on the board which happened in 2018 and after they took out Ballantyne. Many funds have only moved in the last few years.The Level Care scam did not exist and and the Level consortium was not created until 2021 or 2022.And on and on. Members are not "waking up 10 years later". Members have been awake and fighting to expose McCarrons corruption for years.At least back to 2008 for me. The issue is and has been getting the Feds to do their job and to get around McCarrons bought and paid for political protection. Every persons work to expose the McCarron regime and restore the UBC to the democratic body it should be is applauded but lets not try to take credit for checks you did not write or insinuate those who have been also been doing this for years have been asleep at the wheel.

In my opinion, for what’s it worth, I’d love to see a national search be started for any members who want to step forward and take legal action. I would support this effort informally with all the money and other resources I could bring to bear and I think there are thousands of members like my self who would do the same. We just need a plaintiff to step up to file a case or two in federal court that blows the whole thing up.
