Rank and file carpenters in Washington State are organizing a Labor Day rally as part of their campaign to stop a cut-rate contract that the union leadership, together with the contractors, are trying to shove down their throats. Among other things, the rank and file have built an opposition caucus named after the founder of the Carpenters Union – Peter J. McGuire.

Good for them!!! Happy Labor Day to these members. I can’t wait for the September meeting for my local in Philadelphia, I will be bringing up the fact that we as members have been denied a vote on our recent increases and contracts since 2016. This stops now!!!

PA had a pretty decent market share until Billie the Spineless Waterkot started the UBC west coast style of organizing at the bequest of his boss Dog Macaroon. The reps full time job became digging through the non unions trash and bannering and blowing whistles on the street. WTF is that all about? Its fucking embarrasing. They shit canned any type of new contractor organizing and havent been trying to strip the non union talented carpenters for years!! Piss poor leadership right from the top down. We are so screwed !!

Philadelphia was the last stable and successful Regional Council in the United States. One of the many reasons was because we kept non MRC members out, because we didn’t want to suffer the same fate of your home local and council Pittsburgh wherein a member isn’t eligible for a full retirement until they reach the age of 65.
