I heard all about how lucky New Haven was to have Yale, that relationship did not involve luck, it was developed over multiple leaders who worked hard to develop a relationship with a large end user. We picketed Yale and participated in civil disobedience marches and rallies. This did not only happen in New Haven, it happened on the Gold Coast during Cunningham Sr's reign. Every city in CT has a few major end users that should be using a lot more union labor than they are currently. If the reps do not work hard they will just lose that end-user. They have to have a presence in the area. Don't believe me look at what we did in Stamford , Norwalk, Hartford etc. when we were involved in the city. When you get lazy you get nothing, you have to push the ball back up the hill kids. Demand better from your reps
