HOLY SCHNIKES!!! MUCH TO OUR SURPRISE FEDERAL JUDGE VICTOR QUICK DRAW MARRERO FAILS TO SIGN THE FINAL ORDER IN THE NYC COUNCIL CONSENT CASE.EX JUDGE JONES FILED FOR AN EXTENSION OF THE STIPULATION THAT EXPIRED ON SEPTEMBER 3OTH UNTIL MARRERO RULES ON THE FINAL ORDER

  

 

 BUT THE COUNCIL AND EX JUDGE JUDY JONES INSINUATED TO THE IRS IT WAS BASICALLY A DONE DEAL.THEY INCLUDED THIS LANGUAGE ON THE COUNCIL LM2 JUST FILED ON SEPT 28TH

 In accordance with the provisions of the 2024 Stipulation and Order, and after several extensions of the 2024 Stipulation and Order, the District Council and the Government negotiated over, and agreed upon, the terms of a Final Agreement and Order. The Hon. Barbara S. Jones (Ret.), a distinguished former federal and state prosecutor and former federal district court judge, and her law partner Thomas Kokalas, of the New York City office of Bracewell LLP represented the District Council in connection with that undertaking. The District Council and the Government have agreed upon the terms of a Joint Memorandum in Support of Approval of their proposed Final Agreement and Order and Stipulation for Dismissal of the 1994 Consent Decree and submitted the same to the District Court on September 23, 2026, for approval by Hon. Judge Victor Marrero.
