In an earlier comment, "Take Back Your Local" . . . the member is right on the mark. Real change in the way our union functions starts with each Local. The local's officers and delegate representatives are elected by the members of their respective Locals.
Members from every Local need to form pro-active groups, starting with your co-workers on your job site. Go to your Local meetings as a group, and force change. Collectively, we can change the world!

The info is not fully clear but it appears that it will be a tiered coverage. 1700 being the top.
