I would be surprised if the Carpenters Union market share in North America is more than 40%. Market share is based on working carpenters . . . which is not to include retirees!
The 2020 LM-2 listed the total membership at 432,107
Within that total number are:
281,148 reg. members (journeymen)
64,891 apprentices
75,252 retirees
507 contractor members
Brings are active member total (reg members + apprentices) to 346,039 +/-
Not sure of the number of working carpenters in North America, but a million working carpenters (could be more) might be a conservative guess. Running on that thought, the UBC is hovering around 34.6% unionized . . . miles away from 70% !!!

According to the US DOL Statistics 87% of ALL those working in the trades are non union, leaving approximately 13% of this workforce being unionised. Of that 13% the carpenters might have four to six percent of that whole 13%.
You can go online and look up the statistics of those employed in the construction industry by region and then look at the number of members that are also working in that area, in most cases it’s the non-union far outweighs the Union.
Look at the NYC area, the Carpenters don’t even have 25% market share there anymore, nor do the other trades for that matter too.
McCarron is only capable of stealing from his members, he lacks the ability, character, and intelligence to do anything else.

How will the EAS pay for any of what it does today?? It’s very simple. If the EAS represents the working member first, as defined by the majority of members voting by secret ballot, then I know I’ll pay every dime and dollar in dues it takes to advance my interests abd that of my fellow member. But that won’t include millions of dollars in wages and benefits paid to those I didn’t vote to represent me, hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on recreation activities for representatives to enjoy at my expense while on the clock, no more Delegate parties that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, no more no show jobs, no more iTunes, no more buying useless Reps breakfast, lunch and dinner.
