The only thing that we members of the former MRC can hope for, is that PA becomes a Right to Work state as the old territory of the MRC is supporting the EAS. So if PA goes Right to Work the EAS will be brought to its knees.
No one else, Republican or otherwise, is going to save us, they haven’t yet since McCarron has been GP, so I doubt they will in the future.
Right to Work in my opinion is our best hope. I really hope that I get the chance to tell my employer to stop taking dues out of my check to pay to the EAS. Fingers crossed.
Retired former Trustee here. NY funds (PensionFunds)were fine until NJ pension was merged in. NJ funds were not funded as well that’s why they had to be merged into NY. Capelli could never swallow that or so the union side told me. Sproule takes his orders from VP Spencer. Glad I retired from the business.

To all of the delegates that are in Pittsburg this weekend enjoy the lobster and steak besides the days pay that the membership is footing. Hope you enjoyed your hotel room and it was cozy. But if you really care about the membership make sure you vote no on the Variable Rate Pension that is being pushed on you. Remember it’s your pension too. Ask the questions and do your research and please remember whatever the union tells you is good for the membership, they are fooling you. Seriously

The Variable Rate Pension proposal should be "DEAD IN THE WATER", a total no brainer for our employee trustees. They should be standing strong and voting no for this bullshit. They should also know that there is already federal legislation in the form of Amendment 1, of H Res 776, part of the CR Omnibus Bill from 2014, that allows trustees of severely underfunded plans to reduce benefits of existing retirees if indeed it would help to prevent the plan from becoming insolvent. This VRP is no more than another way that McCarron can get his greasy fingers into our pension. Most certainly doughnut Sproles and Watercunt are going to try and push this through, and the Employers will most likely vote for it, but there is no way that the employee trustees should cast one fucking vote for this... We will be watching to see which Trustees stand strong, and which Trustees are weak, afraid for their positions and void of all integrity.

Interstate does not want to pay as job was bidder and going on before contract. Imagine a mob outfit that can’t work in casinos or schools working the system. So 254 reps are not saying but are that it’s a 254 thing but they slid it off their plate like it’s being handled by the council um uh huh wait executive board reps are also council members. 253 does not push against anyone you think they want to be banished.
