Why is it that majority of our members cut each other’s throats, backstab etc.? Where is the UNITY? I blame Dirty Doug for this!!! Taking away our vote caused so much change and RUINED OUR UNION!!! I can’t wait until the day he is removed from our brotherhood, then maybe we’ll get our union-brotherhood back to where we were decades ago. No more ruling by an iron fist, from a dictatorship comey crook of a so called leader. I really think Doug is working with the ABC and is trying to destroy the union before he goes out! Soling Doug. Hope you enjoy the remainder of life you have left in a small prison cell built union. Then you’ll have time to realize the hard work and good craftsmanship we members do 8 hours a day with pride. The SWRRC had their own Mike Hand and Rob Naughton.
Interestingly the same scenario played out in philadelphia.
The circumstances not quite as severe as mike mccarrons but the tactic was the same.
At least 2 lackey boys ( hand and naughton) had been selling out the MRC for years.
Allowing the corrupt jersey mob thugs ( who destroyed their own region) to come in and use phila as their own personal ATM machine.
McCarron and company didnt just replace our leadership ( if they were the problem) he gutted and destroyed the entire 137 year history of a founding local and 3 of the oldest locals in the united states.
It was a message and punishment to ALL phila proud carpenters. Many of them 3rd, 4th, and 5th generation.
Then the scumbags turn around and hale how proud they are of the history of the ubc by wiping out the founding father pj mcguires local. Local 8.

McCarron and spencer and capelli and sproules,ballantyne , hand, naughton, hocker, and the rest quickly rallied to save their assess.
Ballantyne gone. Naughton gone.
The avg phila carpenter would not piss on these guys if they were on fire. There is NO support except that which is forced by an illegal mup program.
They continue their delusional belief that we are a union.
They are rapidly trying to replace union men with the new scab mentality THAT THEY SHARE of being a one way back stabbing bitch only concerned with their bottom line.
Not one of them can speak publicly effectively let alone negotiate a contract that effects the livlihoods of so many.
They dont give a rats ass. Their paid either way.
So. You ask. Where does this culture come from?
Yes. It is from top down and bottom up.
The only way to start to fix it is by a complete walk out of the phila region of carpenters.
A walk out that lasts long enough that GCs are forced to finish the jobs with non union.
I know. It sounds unproductive but it isnt.
The cataclysmic fallout from that action of standing together would in itself remove every council rep and every board mbr and est.
Without a working member body, the need for them is over.
Sure they get paid.
Im not talking about a 1 day event.
Not a 3 day event. Im talking about a walk out that might be a month or longer bc it will force mccarron to actually have to deal with the skin and bone.
Sure non union can replace us. (Shoddily) but kml can afford the loss of dues check offs in the millions per WEEK. Millions.
That means allll those funds that they siphon from are on hold.
That means 22000 mbrs paying an average of 129 a week in checkoff arent paying.
I guarentee you if we strangled the money they would gasp and come hear what we have to say.
Either that or the lay off of all current council reps bc they have zero purpose.
The answer has always been within the member body itself.
Yeah it will suck. Yeah it will be hard.
Will it potentially be easier to seek a living once changes are met?
Should be.
The creation of a once again active and cohesive mbrship pursuing the protection of jurisdiction and work should open up ample opportunity.
Ps. The companies like Dale and DM who will ( as you know ) actively support non union they will finally be outed and destroyed as the scumbag rats they always have been.
This also gives the opportunity to out those members who will gladly work and not stand united a chance to be ousted from the union. They are the problem from within.
I would focus on the dirty bath water not the baby, tub, and house!! I get it though!!

This " house" isnt worth saving.
It needs to be burnt down , disinfected and a new structure rebuilt based upon union principals and premise.
We are sooooo far from our charters and mission.
All politics start local... So does all work and jurisdictions.
It is difficult to have a brotherhood when your brother is from 4 states away in a suit who doesnt know you from adam.

langford does not impress anyone. have you ever heard him speak? he comes across weak, undecided. i know in my local langford seemed to be more excited about the meeting's raffle giveaways than the working conditions on our jobs.
