A Mummer who wore blackface is a Philly Carpenters union official. The union denounced his actions.
Mike Tomaszewski, one of the Froggy Carr Wench Brigade members who painted their faces black
during a Gritty-theme performance, is an elected delegate for the
4,000-member Local 158, which represents carpenters who live in the city
of Philadelphia. Asked on New Year’s Day why he wore blackface,
Tomaszewski said: “'Cause I like it. Yeah, why not? I know it’s a shame
to be white in Philly right now."
William C. Sproule, executive secretary-treasurer of the Eastern
Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, said in a statement that
the union was “disheartened” to learn Tomaszewski was involved in the
blackface incident.
“Racism is something our union denounces," Sproule said. "Actions like
this counter our union’s mission to be a diverse and inclusive union
that provides opportunity for all workers looking for a career in
construction. While we cannot control the personal views of a member, we
do work to continue to create a culture at all levels that is welcoming
to all. We are looking into this matter further.“

they were too busy hiding the fact that adrew sillins and thornhill illegally diverted $218k of southwestern d.c. funds to the ubc’s legislative improvement pac. they claimed a “miscalculation” resulted in the overdrawing of the account over multiple years, but the federal election commission forced a $16k fine upon the ubc. isn’t the supposed overcharging of a southwestern d.c. fund what got mike mccarron removed from the brotherhood? sillins got two lavish retirement parties and thornhill is still raking in big bucks from the ubc.
the ubc has not been a stranger when it comes to racist behavior. last fall, the kansas city leadership spent $248k to defeat an african-american democratic candidate in the mayoral election; his opponent, a white democrat. in a complete lack of awareness, the crc published flyers showing quinton lucas in a granny, almost sharecropper looking photo surrounded by statements questioning mr. lucas’s trustworthiness. while showing his opponent in a near perfectly lighted photo. the photo and flyer was so bad, that the opponent called the action “racially insensitive and in poor taste.” in the end, mr. lucas won and we had wasted $248k in a race amongst democrats that we had both supported in prior elections.
btw...thornhill and sillins were fined $16k by the federal elections commission for withdrawing $218k in sw council funds and depositing the money in the ubc legislative pac, without proper authority, without reporting the funds coming or going, and in excess of amounts authorized by members of the sw council. funny how mike mccarron gets run out of the brotherhood for what the ubc stooges claimed was a similar overcharging type event relating to sw council rent funds.

This sounds similar to a General Majority PAC (Spencer, Mueller, Norcross) flier they released that was criticised for using a design that was considered “racially” insensitive in 2019.
they probably teach the racist photo idea at ubc political director conferences...held at a ritz-carlton or some other high end resort.
