Agreed!!! Unfortunately I don’t have much faith in something developing out of the ashes out of the UBC. Can it be done? Yes and on a contractor by contractor basis from friend to friend one election at a time. It would have to be done quickly because once the non-Union employer moves in , it’s over!!!
Once the convention is over then you’ll know exactly what’s possible and not possible going forward. The other group to beat is the Feds, because once they take over as part of Consent Decree they follow you regardless of Union affiliation. So you’d need to go independent before a conviction of McCarron and co. to avoid being trapped under a consent decree.

I got a very interesting call from my business manager yesterday telling me that the Executive Secretary Treasurer from the carpenters union was trying to get a hold of me to talk about my lobbying for the carpenters union. When he called me today, he let me know that my “ex wife” had left a message with the carpenters that I had engaged in fraud with the former EST Evelyn Shapiro.
We both had a good laugh at this, and an even bigger laugh at wondering why you were trying to stick your nose in things that have nothing to do with you.
