An East Coast UBC member wins 7-8 charges.NLRB files charges and Rules you can tell the UBC to stick its mandatory picketing and fines in their ass and there is not a thing they can do about it.The NLRB has also filed new charges filed against the UBC International declaring Section 45Q of the UBC constitution illegal.
After more than 3 years of fighting to stop some UBC punk from telling you "You Will or Else" the NLRB is putting an end to the UBC picket duty extortion.The UBC punks have a right to say "You Must" and "you will pay" however the NLRB is now enforcing your right to refuse and to tell the UBC punk to kiss your ass.This is not a discussion on whether you should or should not participate in your Union. This an end to members being forced to do so. The law has always been in place allowing members to choose. The illegal extortion actions of the UBC in many councils has been to demand up front payments or to charge a member an amount at the start of each year and telling them you will not owe the money or they will get the money back if you do picket duty or another act dictated by some UBC moron for free.If you refuse to submit the extortion money or to do the participation the UBC punks have been refusing to accept your dues until you pay them these "fines". After 3 months of them refusing to accept your dues because you will not pay you are no longer a members in good standing.After 6 months of a them refusing to accept a members dues members have been removed from the master membership list and essentially thrown of out of the Union. All these actions are and have been illegal.
The NLRB was given testimony and evidence that UBC scum bags then called members employers and demanded they be fired and removed from the job because they refused to pay extortion fines and were no longer Union members for refusing to pay extortion fines.Illegal.As part of the settlement these employers have been told to send out letters to their UBC employees(and all employees) stating no employee can be disciplined or terminated for owing MUP fines.
The NLRB has now filed charges against the UBC for for all.The UBC punks cannot discipline a member for refusing to participate.They cannot refuse to accept a members dues because they claim members owe fines.They cannot declare a member no longer in good standing because they claim members owe fines and the UBC refusing to take dues payments.They cannot remove a member from the Union because they claim members owe fines and the UBC refusing to take dues payments.They cannot demand an employer fire you because they claim members owe fines and the UBC refusing to take dues payments.

Sproule and Hand are just useful idiots. The International is running this council. They just haven’t announced it. Although they’re only figure heads, they still make a ton of money. A corporation run by people who barely finished high school. One Regional Manager is so deluded that he’s constantly telling everyone how smart he thinks he is. Fact check. On the last story. I know Roy and Sean very well they are actually freinds . At no point did Sean ever threaten Roy nor did Roy’s company ever file charges against the union. All the info can be found in line on nlrb charges. There is only one person I know with the balls in this whole council to file charges against these guys and we all know who it is . The current Administrators of the NRCC, the KML, and now the EAS were all told over and over that the MUP program was completely illegal and unconstitutional. They were told it would be challenged and it could lead to significant losses in court and lead to members being able to withdraw their authorisation of the collection of dues assessments from their wages. What was the response?? 1) The program was challenged in NY and NJ and it was deemed legal. Lie, it was never challenged. 2) Our attorneys said it was legal. WRONG!! By the way Sproule’s and Hand, professionals such as attorneys can give you the wrong advice or counsel but your still on the hook for it not them!!!! Do you get that??? If your accountant told you you didn’t have to pay taxes for 2020 and you believed him YOU not your accountant would have problems with the IRS. So when Roy is telling you and others that you will prevail legally he’s telling you this because he is paid by the hour and he doesn’t lose in court the UNION does you boob!!! He still gets paid!!!

Something else to consider. If McCarron and Co had no other problems but the membership opting out of the payment dues, that would still crush them. Once members start opting out of the payment of dues the UBC will have to do what ever the membership wants to get the dues back.

But some solace can be had knowing that the end for Doug and Co. is at hand. I cant make sense out of this whole "Tax Fraud" push from our leadership. It seems as if every picket-line is now all about Tax Fraud. These guys dont know people laugh at this because everyone knows most of our members work or have worked "side jobs" for cash all the time. I guess it is ok for us but not others. Also, for years we had an illegal MUP program with fines for not participating. All the union representatives approved and knew that members paid retirees cash for a lower amount of the fine for standing in on picket duty assignments. The Reps allowed this cash business to flourish for retirees. These leaders are such liars they will attempt to make a case to the public and politicians about tax fraud. I guess tax fraud is only bad if you are non-union.
I wrote about this numerous times even on other social media sites. They are all a bunch of Hippocrates. They only push or force whatever is good for them.
Sounds like the UBC is really a criminal enterprise as defined by the RICO Act and not a Union.
Is the UBC an organisation? Yes. Are those that manage this organisation knowingly committing illegal acts in order to enrich them selves?? Yes. Is their a pattern of activity that demonstrates criminal intent and actions?? Yes.
Dissolve the general office and its officers. Form a new national committee of elected, by the membership, council secretaries. National committee would be a nonpaying position.
Agree on the dissolution of the GO. LU’s should be the seat of all authority as defined by the local members. No more 2nd party representatives, in our case Delegates, that dilute actual representation. One member one vote, majority rules.
I would also recommend the elimination of Council Rep positions to be replaced by professional administrators who would run the office, and Lawyers who would be called upon only when the need arrises to settle disputes and grievances that arise on the job or else where. The Representative model even under the best of times has always been problematic and its a system that can always be taken advantage of by scum bags like Doug McCarron.

Please contact your Local Union and or Council Rep and request that they establish a picket against the EAS Council and the UBC for causing “the erosion of area standards” through the creation of 2nd class lower paid Provisional members, concessions to terms and condition of employment within local CBA’s without member consent, and the requirement that only members who have current work related certifications shall be paid the next increase in wages and benefits stipulated in their CBA.

It was all so peculiar. Why would carpenters in Jersey give a damn about Kenney? And why would they cross their Philly brethren in Carpenters Union Local 8, which was backing Williams in the race?
The pieces only came together after Kenney won the primary election: Norcross’s fingerprints were all over the money. He has close ties to Jersey carpenters. One of his longtime Jersey allies is Frank Spencer, a VP at the national carpenters union. South Jersey Assemblyman Troy Singleton is the assistant to the executive secretary-treasurer of the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters. Patricia Mueller, a friend of Norcross’s, is the treasurer for the Carpenters Fund for Growth and Progress. The Turnout Project also got a $25,000 donation from Parker McCay, a law firm run by Norcross’s brother Philip, as well as a $25,000 check from Brown and Connery, where an attorney who has represented Norcross is a partner. And it was Norcross’s longtime adman, Neil Oxman, who produced the pro-Kenney TV commercials funded by all that super-PAC cash.
The carpenters likely had their own motives for donating so much cash to the elect-Kenney effort: There are plenty of suburban New Jersey carpenters who work on city construction sites. And as far as many carpenters were concerned, Philly carpenters boss Ed Coryell had gone off the reservation. Johnny Doc, Kenney’s most potent ally, was also Coryell’s fiercest political enemy. So helping out Doc and Kenney was a way to weaken Coryell.”
Frank Spencer, a member of the UBC, used member’s money without our consent, to support Johnny Doc and George Norcross, two less than human non-members,
in his effort to get rid of Coryell.

The MUP program wasn’t thought out very well. With 40,000 members in the council, that’s 80,000 MUPS per year. Over 300 per day. Is that creating man hours or directly losing man hours? Ineffective picket lines are put up just to crank out MUPS. Everyone waits for the food drive at the end of the year. Hand absolutely hates the food drive. He has no problem taking part in the photo ops though.

Any retiree or member could send a letter to the EST of the EAS regarding Ray Brugueras, requesting confirmation of him ever being affiliated with any organized crime group, why he’s not employed by the NYC DC, and if he ever refused to sign an anti mob document pursuant to his employment in NYC as a member, or as a Council Employee. That would be the best way to handle the issue, in writing sent via certified mail.
As for the Philadelphia Pension Fund being converted to a Variable Rate Fund, it’s happening. Did the contractors request it?? Nope. Who did? The EAS. What’s the timeline? ASAP!! Currently our esteemed negotiators have proposed converting our Pension Fund as part the current GBCA new contract negotiations. Double Bubble? Gone. Age of retirement 55 with 30 years of service? Gone. Increased to 58, then 65. Reduction in benefit payments? Yes. Will all new members pay into the funds? No, anyone employing provisional members can be reduced benefits or none at all.
And to think we pay dues to see our industry and retirement ruined.......

Team Coryell never adopted the MUP program, never adopted the provisional carpenters program, never gave our work away, never abandoned the appointing of stewards, never let organised crime figures work for the Council, never let contractors not pay benefits, never adopted a variable rate pension plan, never sold the membership out to the contractors, etc., etc.
